I am here because a dear friend new to the business has met the good, the bad and now the ugly. Member buys a ton of wishlist items only to cancel them. Everybody knows the relationship between these purchases and subsequent model attention toward the purchaser.

So, I have written to Amazon with the suggestion of a commercial option for wishlists which would commit the purchaser to waive all rights of refund and credit card company appeals. For this protection, the wishlist creator would pay a modest yearly fee.

While well intentioned, you'll find amazon is actually trying to *remove* all 'commercial' use of wishlists. They are shutting down wishlists they find of porn stars/camgirls offering things in return for gifts, and they say that wishlists should not be used to make transactions.

So this is probably the worst thing to do in this situation, drawing their attention even more so to the use of it.

I think if you're stupid enough to give something out without getting your side of the bargain first, you kinda.. had it coming. I've done it myself.. multiple times. I know that can be a hard learning curve sometimes.. but it is what it is.

Some girls do offer things/time/attention for gifts.
But not all. It should NEVER be assumed that buying a gift for a model is going to result in more attention. You're setting yourself up for dissapointment.

Legally I don't think they *could* waive the right to credit card appeals.

Never happen. As GenXoxo pointed out there's no way Amazon would ever force you to waive your rights you have from a completely separate company. Especially for a service they aren't promoting in the first place (commercial use of wishlists).

And I don't think they could even if they wanted to. Part of the agreement they, or any company for that matter, have with the credit card companies is to abide by their rules of usage. If Amazon doesn't agree to appeal purchases then Amazon wouldn't be allowed to process the credit card in the first place. Again, never happen.

And on the flip side, uh say what da fuck? Any company tries to tell me to waive all my rights in order to have the privilege to give them money and I have a name for them. Bankrupt. Cause I won't do business with them ever again. And I think Amazon is smart enough to know that most people feel that way.

I don't think you thought this one through too carefully.

I understand you're coming from a place of seeing someone you like get taken advantage of. But as Miss Lollipop said, your caring is better served in educating your model friend to just not take that risk again. Make sure she gets product in hand before she provides service. And tell her to come here and better educate herself. You'll do her far more good that way.

I know a Domme who had her over 5000 items bought wish list shut down because someone reported her as a sex worker :(

I too have made that mistake more than once. The hard on dies and the buyers remorse sets in. I learned the hard way.

Never ever accept gifts as payment for time/services.

Gifts are exactly that, a GIFT, a token of appreciation.

On the other hand, the amount of money I make Amazon a year would make you think they would want to encourage our business...

Yup, Amazon's TOS state that you can ONLY use it for family and friends. If you get too many "random" purchases and they investigate and find you using your list to "barter" or for sex work of ANY kind they will delete your account. Several camgirls were talking about this on tumblr the other day (because it happened to them)

All this is one more reason to use E gift cards instead of items... let them tell you what they want you to purchase and go from there... but really. I have to say "5000 items" on Amazon at once? Kind of excessive and asking for trouble imho.

I don't think it was 5000 items at once, it sounds it was just 5000 items that had been purchased from the wishlist in total.

That's how I read "5000 items bought", as well. That's a lot of items, and would definitely attract attention, if they're policing that kind of thing.

I really don't understand why girls use their wishlists to barter. If you want stuff, and dudes want videos or whatever, just get tokens, ffs. Leave the wishlist for the dudes that actually like to just be generous. Why abuse the system and pervert (ha!) the idea of actual giving?
