Hello all of you beautiful ladies :) I've recently contemplated getting into this business and been doing a lot of research. I just have a few questions that I havent really found specific topics on. I truly feel the positives outweigh the negatives. I haveI have yet to really discuss it with my husband, but I feel he could go either way. Hopefully he will be on board with it because I would never do anything he isn't comfortable with. My 2 main concerns are this:

My husband works for the city. He's not a politician or on the town council, but he is in public service (i.e. cop, firefighter). I don't think me doing this should affect his job, but I'm just curious if there are any others on here who have significant others in a public service job or even a more "conservative" job?

I know camming involves being on the internet and I know that most sites you have the option as a model to block certain states or regions, which is great. But is there any way to avoid having your broadcast end up on porn sites? I feel like the whole blocking thing is pointless if you are going to end up on a site that is available for everyone to see.

Hopefully this makes sense :) I guess I'm just looking for a little guidance and advice. I look forward to hearing from you!!

Hey
I'm not promising the best advice but his job shouldn't affect yours at all. The only way it could happen is if someone were to discover you and maybe raise a fit. But even then it's not like mfc is illegal. And as for ending up on other sites it's kinda invetable unfortunately. Though you could be more responsible than me in that and actually contact each site as your stuff gets uploaded. I hope you do decide to start camming because even though it has flaws I love my job and wouldn't want to do anything else :D
Xoxo

Actually, I could answer this about public service workers being married to sex workers. Now, I am answering this because I am a sex worker and my mother works for the city government in a major California city. So your worries and fears about your husband's job getting affected is very real if you live in close-minded communities. Now, I live far away from my mother but it does not matter to her job.
. Recently, her new bosses talked about people being married to people in the adult industry including cam models and porn stars. They have a morality clause in which states that even if public service workers are not involved...they could lose their jobs for being married to adult entertainers. Many people were affected by this morality clause and lose their jobs. For example, there was a bus driver married to a minor porn star and they fired him once they found it. However, this because his wife came up to the job.:rolleyes:Now, this cause covers bus drivers, police officers, and firefighters. Now,if I was you then I would check if your husband's job has a moral clause like that. However, most cities do not care but you must make sure that there is not a special morality clause at city hall.By the way, if you decided to go to some private universities in California...then you may have to disclose your job to them or you will be kick out of those institutions. Now, this could be just a California thing but I would make sure.

If you are successful enough to make camming worthwhile, and probably even if you are not, your stream will be captured and posted on tube sites, etc. Due to fraternal nature of professions like law enforcement or fire-fighting, if one person recognizes you, chances are good that word will spread. Unless your husband is 100% on board, and is not subject to the kind of morals clause Dona mentioned, I would give camming a pass and look into focussing on phone sex.

The only way to not wind up on porn sites is to never cam or make videos. You WILL get recorded and your content WILL get shared, so if you're worried about being found, don't do it.

Strange. California's church attendance rate is quite low and its a politically liberal state.

Mr. Nerd was military before retiring and we talked to a base lawyer. As long as he wasn't actively (and identifiable) on film while still serving, he was in the clear. Now he's an EMT headed toward paramedic and the rules are actually less strict and a few of his coworkers actually know what I do for a living

Frankly, I do not see this is odd. California is not as liberal as people might think. I grew up in California's central valley and it was just as liberal as going up in the midwest. My mother works in California's central valley and it very conservative. In fact, many places in the central California do not have adult book stores.Plus there are parts of the state that is more conservative than most Americans do not realized. For example, Californian countries such as Orange County are quite conservative in their nature. Actually, I attend a private university in Orange County, California and all students had to sign a social misconduct which address adult industry activities. During my university years; I did not work in the adult industry.

Here is great example on how people in Central California reacted to Hustler Hollywood trying to put a store there:

I've read that Orange County is one of the most Republican areas In the nation. Was the College you went to Catholic?

My boyfriend is from Orangevale and he was literally the only non-conservative person there. (Moral of the story: if "orange" is in the name, conservative is their game.)

The thing about CA is: it's huge. And you don't really realize how huge it is til you live there. I lived in Sacramento until I left for college. Travelling to L.A. by bus felt like travelling to a whole other state.

Yes there are some areas of California that are socially conservative. But the vast majority of Californians are not. California as a state is a Democratic stronghold and is less religious than most states. Sorry if I sound like I think I'm a know- it- all( I am not by any means).

Try as you might, in short, the answer is NO.

Prop 8 passed in California because of religious conservatism, so I'm gonna have to disagree with you.

California, however, is 38% Hispanic. THAT is why it would shocking if he won.
That was back in 2008 at a time when the majority of Americans were still against same sex marrige

I am sorry but I do not understand why this is so hard to believe for you. There are many conservatives in California and they live throughout the state. There are many people in California who voted for Donald Trump. For example, I live in San Francisco and many people in the marina district talked about voting for him. He has a stronghold in certain neighborhoods in SF. The Marina district is where Trump has a strong following.:cat:

@DonaDiabla If what your saying is true then why are people so shocked about the fact that Donald Trump thinks he can win California?

Are the police in San Francisco racist?

Are the police in San Francisco racist?

Good grief. What on Earth does this question have to do with S_Rose's original post???

"looking to start camming" thread has now been derailed by a debate about if CA is "conservative" or not. Generalizing is sickening to me and there is a lot of that going on in this thread. The girl was trying to get camming tips... lol >.<
