For just $39.99 you can own the best Logitech webcam ever made.

You might even make more tokens with a great webcam. Members don't like shitty video and audio. While you are at it buy some God damn light bulbs too. Webcams aren't magic. They need proper room lighting to work right and look great.

Note: Logitech has discontinued all of their webcams except for the C270, C525, and C920.

None of these three webcams are officially supported by Logitech for use on a Mac and none of them have Logitech Mac software available.

The C270 is a hunk of shit. You would not be much worse off if you just set your money on fire instead of buying a C270.

The C525 is a decent webcam for normal people to use for normal things but is not good enough for webcam modeling. It does not have Carl Zeiss® optics or all glass lenses.

The C920 is Logitech's new flagship model. It replaces the C910. It has some good things going for it. It has a longer USB cable and the best damn mounting system I have ever seen on a webcam and is also threaded for a tripod mount. It has some other good things going for it too but they aren't important for webcam modeling.

Where the C920 fails in my opinion is that its video and audio quality are worse than the Webcam Pro 9000 and HD Pro Webcam C910. It just looks SOFT. It's not as sharp, clear, or detailed as the Webcam Pro 9000 or HD Pro Webcam C910.

If I was a model I would not pick a C920 over a Webcam Pro 9000 or HD Pro Webcam C910.

So if you want a really great webcam then you better get a Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 or Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 while you still can.

Dude. I HAVE TO RETURN MY C920. It was bought off my wishlist as a fucking gift, && IT BLOWS ASSHOLES. Seriously. The colors will NOT change to like, NORMAL colors. Everything you said about it, is true. I used THREE different lighting setups, none of them would work. The mount, is the best EVER. I wish the C910, would get like that. :(.

Everything about what you just said. The mount was SOOOOOOOO perfect, but the lighting and colors and clarity, not so much. I wish the c910 had the same mount.

I did some research and while I can not get you the same mount, I can let you use a tripod. Here are the steps.

That wasn't the issue I have unfortunately but thank you! I don't use a tripod, I attach my camera to my laptop (oh the horror) and this had a little flat tab that helped keep the camera from shaking around.

I suspected that was the case. I looked at the two side by side in pictures, and they seem to be very different sizes.

I took the stand off on my c910, so you can see the mounting brackets. I can not be sure without a c920, but it looks unlikely to match up to me.

Without going all engineer and redesigning the wheel [or in this case the mounting bracket] .....
I got a few of those self adhesive velcro dots and strategically placed a few on the back of the laptop and also my big monitor with the grabby hook part on the cam bracket where it contacts. Yes, it takes a minuscule effort to move the cam but its steady and doesnt move till you want it to. Cost for the velcro dots was ~$3.

The mounting on the C920, is just AMAZING. It has so many dif ways you can set it. But, I'm just gonna have to go for the C910. The C920 can go fuck itself. I have found it to honestly be the worst piece of shit webcam there EVER WAS. Seriously. I've owned sooooooooooo many webcams, this one is worse than the ones I've bought for $20. I have been wondering if people are getting different batches?? Because some people LOVE THIS CAM, && I'm like um WTF WHY? But I've seen pics from it, && they're decent, NOTHING like what happened when I used mine....
