my job has been getting worse and worse for the last 2 years. Sometimes there are good shifts, but overall it's terrible. last night I worked for 4 hours and earned only 48k Chaturbate, as well as other sites are not working well. Is anyone else observing that the job has become very bad?

For me is something weird. Lets say on wednesday in 4 h i earned 33 tkn, yesterday in total on cb 5025 , i was doing show for 3 ,5 h because one man was all the time tipping for toy contr4ol, i saw many new guys who never sen before and who clicked follow cuz i saw the star close to nickname but after all day and so active show at the end of day my number of followers didnt change. Not even 1 more , and im curious wtf ;d its not first situation like this.... was many new guys because yesterday i was streaming in different time as usually. Where are those followers and why is so hard to get new ones even if you had good shift with tokens??

Maybe it's still about the war and the crisis? because starting in 2022, the work is especially terrible. also, my friends, the model girls, also told me that their work has become worse. Camming for the avg. male is very ded, i think camming is certainly on a down-trend, very little innovation and never any push for the less popular models, among others reasons; the war/ inflation, recovery from the "pandemic era". The majority of the 10 - 20 website owners have simply been comfortable padding their pockets and not thinking of any new ideas that will inject some life into the industry, new players are needed. I would love to release a cam site for fat people, it's sorely needed. Looking into it, as i type this. I was very into building sites back in the day, and did OK, issue was i was sick with Lyme disease, for many years and had to abandon the hard work for healing. Eyeing a come back. I have alot of good ideas. Hope i can.

As a cam performer nearing 50, I can say that people have been claiming the industry is dead or dying since at least 2002. If you didn't get into online porn in the 1990s when it was brand-new, the rest of us are like miners after the gold-rush. There's still gold, it's still valuable, but the posters (banner ads/landing pages) make it seem easy to strike it rich.

Slight tangent: if you ever think your job is too hard, visit an old mining museum. It can bring a whole new level of appreciation and gratitude to life if you are lucky enough to be able to work from home and set your own rules.

It's not dying, but it's been slower due to wars and economy for over a year now (I've been doing this 9 years straight now, and this last year I've had to work the hardest besides year 1). Financial advisors say things should pick up again, economy wise mid 2025. This is an election year, people feel insecure election years, and tend to spend less.

I feel like things will pick up. I don't think this industry is recession proof, as was once proposed. But I also don't think it's going anywhere in the long run.

A lot of us are having a lot of genuine fun, and connections that we aren't really free to have in our everyday lives. So I seriously doubt anything is dying.

I've been a member, and sometimes only observer, on forums this whole time. Every year people say it's dying. I've never agreed that it's even slowed down, other than this last year or so. It's a tough industry with a high turn over, and high burn out rate. In general, the longer a model has been around, the less hard they tend to get hit by the ebb and flow of economy. So I am sure newer models are having it harder than ever. But even vets ( veterans not veterinarians) are acknowledging the slow state of thing this last year or so.

Yeah I wouldn't say it dying from a viewer point of view.

Something I have noticed with the front page ladies I follow though is that its taking them longer to get hundreds of viewers in their room.

Obviously the more undressed someone is, the more likely they r at increasing viewers but there's always been loads that would log in before it got to that.
Put it another way before it would take less then 10 mins before they appeared on the front page because of amount of viewers. Now it's more like 30+ mins, girls that only joined this year, and girls with loyalists and have over 100k followers.

Hey everyone, I don't want to point out the super obvious thing here but EIGHT states require government ID for potential customers to access porn sites. A lot of people aren't going to understand they just need to log in and it automatically bypasses it and others won't remember using a VPN can bypass it all entirely. It's also graduation/wedding/family trip season. (Yeah I know some don't think that's a factor but it is, or that there is always going to be something.)

I think I should start working like before 5-6 days a week) Regarding vpn, I am from Russia and almost nothing works here from sites for webcam models, so I have been using vpn since 2019, but 90% of VPNs do not work in Russia because Russia also blocks vpn connections. I managed to find a couple of VPNs that work and I use them.

It's my understanding that the more time you dedicate to camming, the better your ranking will be. Especially if you have a fixed and optimized schedule. By optimized, I mean learning which time slots during the day work best for you token count wise.

I feel like a segment of viewers will take a liking to AI, just like any other variant of porn or cam performance (whether it’s a fetish or a preferred medium) has its own audience.

But personally, I would be surprised if it made a significant dent the popularity of real human cam/porn performances. In this genre of entertainment, I think the human aspect of it is more important than it might be for other industries dabbling in AI. Something to be said for knowing that’s a real person performing on the other side of the glass.

That's like asking if the fleshlight becoming popular would impact on sex doll sales.
In reality many people will try both and some will just use their hand.
Those who prefer one or the other are looking for a different experience and the one that doesn't want a real human interaction probably wasn't going to be a customer anyway.
