I got scammed!

I've been a cam model for Chaturbate for almost half a year now. I first got to know the website by a guy, he said he worked for a Chaturbate agency. I just found out that it was just a group of people that tried to take some profits from the models like me. I did some research of how much Chaturbate pay for models and my payments always got cut by 20% to them.

Anyway, I still kept going with this because it is what I enjoy doing and I rely on doing cam model to pay my rent.

Unfortunately, the guy who introduced me to Chaturbate just quit the job at the agency and I've been trying to contact the agency by email and found out that the account does not exist.

One thing I'm worried about right now is my payment. I've been going online a lot this month and I don't know what to do if I don't get the money. I'd lose around $160. I already emailed Chaturbate but I seriously don't know if it could help since I just found out today, and I haven't received my payment since June since the agency said it didn't reach the minimum payout which is $200. But on Chaturbate it's $50. The fake agency is probably using my money right now.

Are you saying you don't have a contract with the agency?
Or are you saying chaturbate doesn't recognize them as an agency? (which means your using a normal CB account)

Sounds like you worked for a shady studio. But if you were streaming on cb, you had to have filled out paperwork and a contract to have gotten started. Go find that contract, go over every word, see if you have legal recourse at all. Then contact chaturbate directly to get your account reinstated as an individual or get a new one set up.

It sucks but you're dealing with a third party, and they don't seem on the up and up. You might not get your money back, at least not any time soon. The quicker you can get back to camming (independently) the quicker you can recover from that setback.

I think it's just a fake agency which does not exist... I'm not sure if the guy that introduced me to Chaturbate just made up the story or what... But like I said I emailed the agency and it doesn't exist. And the guy I work with basically said he quit the job so he doesn't have anything to do with this anymore. The contract, again, was with the guy that put me into this because he said he'd keep all my information and now he quit so... Basically just told me he can't help or do anything.

Follow-up if that's the case: Isn't it still really really illegal to cam there? If so I'd be careful going forward with your camming career.

I'm in Thailand yes... I mean some porn websites are banned here, also prostitution is illegal, but I've seen people doing it anyway.

As for camming, I've never heard that's illegal since there are also leak videos of some actress camming but they never get caught by a police or something so I don't think camming is seriously illegal here.

What I can see from a bit of Googling (and what I've heard through the grapevine) is that it's arbitrarily enforced, but penalties could be steep if a cop decides busting you is worth it.

So, careful.

I think you should be careful, I think chaturbate banned users from Thailand who streamed from Thailand after an arrest happened in Pattaya their system will automatic detect your IP may I know what is your user ID

You should not advertise yourself from Thailand just for your safety

But I'm not really sure in Philippines it's illegal yo do adult webcam but chaturbate is ok with camgirls from chaturbate

I see there are alot of internet studio that recruit models from all over the world and they don't do anything to help the girls besides than taking 20% off the models

If they just assist the models on set up and train them for can taking 10% is enough

Unless those studio have got a real studio room where models can check in and perform than 20 to 40% is ok
