humble advice for a beginner..

When is it considered rude to mute and clear members chat..? I'm not trying to create a bad environment in my room.. someone called me sarcastic today and I muted them which got a lot of backlash.. I didn't realize it would come off that way it just made me feel bad to be called sarcastic when I was trying to be nice, someone said "have a nice day" and i said "you too!"

I wouldn't spend a huge amount of time worrying about it. Mute anything that makes you feel bad - who needs the drama! Your audience will learn from it how to treat you and it will help you create an awesome room environment that you perform well in

being misunderstood sucks

can't offer any advice as we probably don't use the same site (same etiquette). on CB it's generally considered dirty work for the mods to do for you. but I can't think of why a mod would silence someone for such an innocent comment.

only advice would be maybe what I (playing Monday morning quarterback) think I would do in your situation: be like 'hah, aww, naa, I'm serious. aww, did I sound sarcastic? sorry guys, maybe sometimes my tone is just weird 'cause of where my heads at, or, I dunno, like I don't even know how I sound on your end of the feed, maybe my mic is bad? or maybe I'm just a naughty girl [wink]' ... just ramble off some sincere apology/confusion explanation/playful stuff with a cute anime blush face

Thanks for the advice guys It was just from a few members.. hopefully it just won't happen again. If it does at least now I know how to play it off! ^_^
