Hi all,

I am looking to send sex vids to members for tips but I am not sure how I do this. I was going to email the vids to their selected email addresses but the file size is too big to send at 688 mb. Any advice on how other cam girls send their vids to members would be much appreciated.

Thanks

You can use sites like MegaPorn, upload the videos, and then put a password on them and send out the password and link to people who pay for them. There are already threads regarding video hosting though, the search function is very useful :D
Do you know if it's possible to change the password for a video on MegaPorn? That option would be very important to me.

PM me the link and password and I'll figure that out for you :toothy9:

Yep! You can edit the details whenever you want, it also monitors how many downloads it has so you can keep track if anyone is giving the file information out :D

Hm. Actually, I'd really like to use a site that has a player, instead of selling Downloads. If you sell files it's much easier for the members to upload the video somewhere else and I want to avoid that at all costs.

So.. does anyone know a website with a player where you can upload videos and also change the password?

A player = streaming media.
Streaming = watching whilst downloading (basically! The info has to be downloaded to view it).
They still "download" it (just that the download is hidden from view - essentially).

So you can't stop them getting a copy if they want one ;) May be best (and work intensive) to watermark each copy with an identifier to whom it was sold...just make sure it is not obtrusive.

Like Zoomer said, anything that appears on your screen can be recorded if someone wants to badly enough. "Buying" a streaming video just annoys people, esp. if they have to sit there while it loads, go look up the password if they wanna view it again etc.
Just change your password once a week (or hell spend 30sec each morning and do it once per day if you're really obsessive) and check your download stats. Also let the buyer know the password is only valid for a little while so that they don't try to go download it later and can't :p

Yup, I know there's always a way to make a copy of something... :/
But I'm sure it's much more difficult to extract the file from a site with a stream and then upload it somewhere else than to already have the file and then upload it somewhere else ;) That's why I want to use a stream site.
Using watermarks is a very good idea though.

I would tell them about those circumstances before selling the video, of course. :)

I don't worry so much about members giving the password away to others, but more about them uploading the video they bought on another site. And as I said, I think this is much easier done if you already have the avi/wmv/whatever-file on your computer.

My chrome browser has an add on that allows me to download videos from streaming sites easily, knowing that, I would find it pointless to set up a streaming site for my vids.

I was just going to add this comment. All popular browsers have this or some other "1 click" solution. Some of the other comments are valid, as far as changing the p/w on the download site, limiting the number of downloads, etc.

The only other thing I could suggest is to see if a steganography solution (google it) is feasible/practical/cost-effective for you to use. In plain terms, it is the process where hidden information is embedded in the video. Many uses, of course, but in your case you'd want their MFC name and/or email embedded for tracking purposes. It can also be used for "proof" of ownership when you have to make that inevitable call to the "tube" sites. My advice, if you can utilize this, keep it to yourself, as if the word gets out, there will be basements full of losers all around the world trying to come up with countermeasures to your scheme.

If you are looking for something 100% effective to prevent the pirating of your content, look around here for those threads. It's the general consensus that no scheme will be 100%.

The only real solution is to not cam at all.

Yeah my firefox has one too, in fact I installed it after being annoyed that a subscription porn site I paid for wouldn't let me download a video so that I can watch it after the subscription expires lol.

Ahh porn, you have inspired so many people to do so much.

Never thought twice about uploading it though. Most people wouldn't. Those that do are usually too cheap to pay anyway.

Yeah I got my add on for porn too :thumbleft:

To expand on jupiter's comments about the problems with streaming.
I would never, ever consider buying a video that I can't properly download, and have on my PC.
In some cases, streaming it is OK, if I can rip the stream while it happens.
There are several reasons for this:
Bandwidth here is moderately expensive, I don't want to download it several times.
Streaming video is often relatively poor quality, and is usually recompressed from the original file, losing quality.
If the site goes down (and adult sites typically have very short lives), I lose the content.

To continue on from the 'ban banners on camera' thread - any watermark should be small and unobtrusive.
Unless you think you can make the watermark more interesting than your performance, in which case make it big, and have you in a little corner.
