How to make gifs for your profile/social media

I just sent this via DM but now that I think about it, this might be useful to more people, so I thought I'd make it public. If anyone knows an easier way to do this, please share!

This is on how to do gifs like the one on my signature (basically a very short video turned into a gif).


1. Record the vid the you want made into a gif. Usually very short vids work best. For that you can use obs or the software that comes with your webcam, or any other software that you prefer.

2. To convert the image into a gif, i use this site: https://ezgif.com/video-to-gif
It will prompt you to upload your video, then on the next step you can change the settings of the final output and then click convert. Finally, just download the image. Now you have the gif ready!

3. In most cases, you can just upload the image to twitter or whatever site you're using. However, sites like MFC and Chaturbate require you to use html codes. What you have to do then is upload the image somewhere (https://imgur.com/ is great for this). Just click on the upload button and choose your gif. Once it's uploaded, copy its direct url or right click image and select "copy image address".

4. This is the HTML code you have to use to insert images on any site that requires HTML:

<img src="IMAGE URL GOES HERE" alt="TEXT TO WRITE FOR ACCESSIBILITY (OPTIONAL BUT NICE)">

Unfortunately, I tried putting my img code into the Rotating Notifier app, and it just keeps showing the IMG code? I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I uploaded the GIF to IMGBB, Took the code (<img src="https://i.ibb.co/Tv5YHfn/ezgif-com-gif-maker.gif" alt="ezgif-com-gif-maker" border="0">) and input it into the app, but no gif appears?

Hope someone else helps you. All I know is that the code is working. I tried out her and it displayed your GIF: https://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_intro

Maybe it's something regarding the app... just a thought.

I haven't used the Rotating Notifier app, but it probably needs to use a GIF image that has already been uploaded into the Chaturbate GIF archive.

Instead of the "<img src="...."> code you would use a GIF code that has been uploaded into CB already.

Example would be:
:name_of_my_gif
