How to get started on social media?

Basic question, but how do I grow social media?

I'm using discord and Twitter, and following the overly analytical guide to camming on Tumblr (useful resource btw for anyone that's starting out)

My followers are stagnant - should I buy fake followers? Is investing in Twitter even worth it? How do I find accounts that will retweet my posts and give them wider reach?

I got most of my subscribers (Twitter ) in cooperation with EroAward. They have promo groups based on mutual retweets, as well as just promoters who post you on their promoted pages to help you become more famous. It turns out a cluttered page with all sorts of porn for the duration of cooperation (which I didn’t really like). But after all, all subscribers remain with you. Also I got some subscribers with cam sites, some allow you to add a link to the social network in the profile. I've never bought an ad, but I'm curious to hear opinions on this from those who have had experience.

I also have pages on Instagram (foot fetish direction) and there followers are gained quickly but I also lost a few large pages there (they do not welcome adult content).

It depends on what you want to achieve, because if you buy yes you are going to have more numbers, which make your profile more reliable or attractive to the people that see it BUUUUUUUUUUT algorithms of social media always punishes these behaviors, so you will appear less on search and on timelines.
