Hi... I'm new to MFC and Chaturbate. Looking to find out how you guys boosted traffic to your rooms as new models? Some say go bold and show skin to attract ppl... some say wait and let them pay for it first... as of right now NEITHER is working for me?

Also I'm new to ACF so I don't have access to all the threads.. keep that in mind with your responses. LOL

There are some interesting ways to boost your traffic but from what I know and observe most webcam performers use the social networks (especially Twitter), the catch here is to have a lot of followers on twitter and tag the right Twitter accounts . You can tag a promoter for example and they re-tweet your status. This is the free and simplest version I know.
A more sophisticated one is to buy traffic (tho I doubt this suggestion is popular among webcam performers) - Chaturbate has a link on their website named Buy Traffic - pretty obvious what is all about. Ether way, nothing is guarantee to bring huge success. A difference, yes, bulletproof key for success, i don't think so.
My personal suggestion is to "know" who to follow on twitter and from there it is up to you.
I hope other models have a better suggestions for you.

It seems people are drawn to interesting rooms. Some times that's an amazing outfit. Or an interesting activity. It's about entertainment. Some times that's using an interesting toy. But then there are people who manage to get people by baking cookies or playing video games.

Social media is a great way to advertise: twitter, chaturbate, tumblr, pornhub. Make sure to using multiple popular tags. That's how people stumble over new content from new sources. Some thing like hastagify in advance can help you find great combos of hash tags.

For MFC: Yeah I'd say fill out your profile IN FULL, you never know what someone may see of yours in the model explorer. Also, if one person requests one, I usually ask some of my regular members to help me get group shows going so I show up in the pending group shows and then live group shows. Also ask members to drop your name in the lounge from time to time(BUT NOT SPAM IT!), and yeah, social media. As much as possible, I say a verbal "Hi" to everyone that comes in, and pm a :wave when they leave, often bringing them back to chat.

I always sign in in lingerie, and have my topic ready to go and set it a.s.a.p. I always get more traffic once my first few countdowns have been reached and I'm topless or nude, but I never sign on or get that way for free.

The best boost to traffic is to make regulars... In public chatting regulars, those who contribute to your room. Those who make you look worthy of spending time and money on.

It is a trust thing for the most part, regulars are a good indicator that you can be trusted. How you treat your regulars is the model that you will be perceived as. No regulars simply means that you are risky/ an unknown.

Another thing that boosts traffic is to let the action develop, and to keep a good thing going. It is easy to assume that the action is over early and to cut the reward from extra traffic off as it arrives. Be patient newcomers need that time.

@Ambers Troll @fandango @WickedTouch thanks for the head's up

I've had members try to be friendly by saying they would drop my name in the lounge but I haven't spent a heck of a lot of time in their to know what kind of crowd it attracts.

Is there any difference to the special 1000 reward points only lounge? Not that I have access yet but...

The people I see saying that are the same ones who post giant rated and admired gifs which do nothing except try to look helpful while not actually tipping or being helpful in any way.

Haaaa yeah, my favourite. "Open my cam if I rate and admire bb?" "Ok fine go do it" "Ok I did" "Uhh, I have the same amount of rates/admires as 10 minutes ago" "It's probably just not showing yet, open cam bb"

I don't do anything for rates/admires/name dropping in lounge promises anymore. :p

I spend about 25% of my time in the lounge when I am looking for new models to visit, but I only use it as a pop-up for when I wish to ninja tip. [Those models who are an unknown/ risk to tip, who I don't want to actually visit yet; I take a look at their profile, then do a few test tips from the lounge.]

Think of the lounge as more a locker room, the members there are pretty much out of the game, most conversations have nothing to do with the models at all. (Trash talking each other mainly).
They refer to posting a model name as 'pimping' the model, not a popular thing to do in repetition. A model needs to be well into the action for it to be effective, by then the traffic has already arrived.
Anything that a model does worthy of lounge attention will be picked up by home page previews and those actively searching for you.

With this in mind rather than asking a member to leave you to visit the lounge, I would keep the member in my room and spend that time used asking in making a twitter/ news-feed announcement that action has arrived in your room.

Most members use home page previews/ page position, tags, or twitter/ social media to find someone they like. One thing about traffic someone should mention is that traffic is not always visible, there can be much that goes on before that first visit. With previews/ position you can pass over a model who draws your attention many times before actually making a visit.
