How do you turn down the MFC tip noise volume on a Mac?

Hi Cam Models and wise ones in the house of know how,

I have a kind friend I am doing my best to help with this issue and searched all over the internet, ACF, MFC Cam Models How to Wiki etc.. and still have come up empty handed and yet still remain with a loud tip CLANG ringing in my head! lol The sound is so loud that perhaps some tippers may even hesitate to tip and hope someone in the know will share some wisdom and ear love.

As far as I know there isn't a way to change the volume of the tip sound, it is just automatic! Usually if it's really loud it means that I turned the volume on my computer up very high at some point and need to turn the actual computer volume or speakers down.


I could be totally wrong, though! Maybe there is a way to alter it. If there WAS a way, I think it'd be in the "Options" section of the model broadcaster. I believe there's a tab for sounds.

There is an option to turn it off, but not to turn down the volume of it. She just needs to turn the volume on her computer speakers down.

Has she tried lowering the volume in the mixer for the browser and/or maybe for flash? I assume Macs have something like this anyways.

I don't have a Mac but a quick search found this software http://www.globaldelight.com/boom/. The software claims to help boost the volume by application (browser) and is configurable so it is possible that it might do the trick. However I could not find anywhere in the site that says it lowers the sound beyond the already pre-set volume or being able to turn it off but there is a try before you buy so might be worth your friend checking it out.
