I've won several of those, even without buying 100s of tickets.
Oh yeah, I'm not saying it's always rigged. I'm just saying...well, I'm not really sure. Maybe I've been hanging out in the lounge too much.

Have PM chats in archive from a few other places, that would reflect this sentiment.
Was recently catching up with a Slovak model I have known for many years, who always warns me off spending on models only interested in taking advantage.
Over the years you often get similar warnings from a variety of places and models. It's always a reflection of their own attitude/ part of the world, even though offered out of kindness/ sympathy. Most of the time for many models, 'users' are not human, nor do we act like we want to be.

Lets assume the models and the members have some kind of real life then :

The main purpose of a member for a model is to hand over cash, the more the better...
The main purpose of a model for a member is to provide a phantasy that makes him cum over his keyboard...

Not much romance here, but some people don't have a real life and then they expect more and the problems start....

Girl and the Snake

A young girl walking along a mountain path to her grandmother's house heard a rustle at her feet. Looking down, she saw a snake, but before she could react, the snake spoke to her.

"I am about to die," he said. "It's too cold for me up here, and I am freezing. There is no food in these mountains, and I am starving. Please put me under your coat and take me with you."

"No," the girl replied. "I know your kind. You are a rattlesnake. And if I pick you up, you will bite me and your bite is poisonous."

"No, no," the snake said. "If you help me, you will be my best friend. I will treat you differently."

The young girl sat down on a rock for a moment to rest and think things over. She looked at the beautiful markings on the snake and she had to admit he was the most beautiful snake she had ever seen.

Suddenly, she said, "I believe you. I will save you. All living things deserve to be treated with kindness."

She then reached over, put the snake gently under her coat and continued toward her grandmother's house.

Within a moment, she felt a sharp pain in her side. The snake had bitten her!

"How could you do this to me?" she cried. "You promised that you would not bite me, and I trusted you!"

"You knew what I was when you picked me up," he hissed as he slithered away.

I know you are joking (pretty sure anyways), but this touches on an important point.

Now I know what I am about to share doesn't apply to ALL cam models. It is just a tiny slice of a broader spectrum of behaviors and attitudes. So I hope people don't feel like they need to get all defensive.

This was related to me by a studio model from near Belarus. I have no idea to what extent the views I am going to describe might exist in independent cam models, or models from other regions.

She was telling me about finding true love. Turns out it was one of her sweet talking non-tippers, never spent a dime on her on the sites. The subject came up after I asked her if the guy she was marrying was a particular individual who had tipped her handsomely and desperately tried to win her hand. She was appalled by the idea of meeting, or getting involved with, anyone who had given her money.

Over the course of the conversation that followed, she explained to me that tippers were viewed with utter contempt (just in her environment, mind you). Losers. Jackasses. Rubes to be fleeced. Lie to them, swindle them, lead them on...they deserved no more consideration than cattle one might herd towards a slaughterhouse. Tippers were not human.

I am a big fan of honesty, but that conversation was a little more candor than I was expecting. Very eye-opening; downright shocking, considering how charming and adorable her on-cam persona was.

Anyways, something to keep in the back of one's mind when they (or at least some of them) go to batting those eyelashes.

Sad to see models have no empathy towards their customers. But this isnt a rare occurrence with sex workers. Especially with workers who got in this industry for the wrong reasons. Maybe it's a way to make themselves feel better?

I've spent time with SO many camgirls and this is a tone I've never ever heard from anyone! I'm limited to having only interacted with western independent models so maybe that's the difference. Aside from maybe a small gripe about an individual members particular actions maybe bothering them, the overall tone I've always gotten was of great respect and gratitude.

That's what I think.

The shame and disgust they feel for their grotesque immoralities becomes overwhelming, and they direct that contempt outward as some sort of self-defense mechanism. It manifests itself as a desire to get tipped. Sad, indeed.

Idk though, maybe they just want some money.

I see it happen evenly between models in all regions. There are many angry or self-destructive models.

Or they just resent having to do sex work because they don't have many other opportunities. And they hate the fact that the thing that makes sex work their only real opportunity is also what prevents them from having other opportunities. And they see the people that patronize them being complicit in it.

you're trying to tell me that you've had more than one model tell you specifically that they think all tippers are all whatever long list of insults JJTP wrote... I'm finding this extremely hard to believe. I don't discredit that you likely have witnessed what you perceived as this attitude but telling you specifically they feel this way?
Then again you are a SM guy and the interactions and social setting is WAYYYYYYYY different than MFC.

I'm talking about openly admitting that they think only losers are tippers, not the likely common bad attitude that can come through from a model who's a bad fit or exasperated which is often directed at everyone ESPECIALLY freeloaders. not Everyone except freeloaders.

This is specifically the line I was responding to.

Short answer is "yes". Misandry is thing and not a rare thing. With some western models there's this "occupy" mentality that they're at war with you the moment they declare you part the "1%". Maybe "Robin Hood" mentality would be more accurate. It tends to come out more in a one on one site like SM but it's happened on MFC and jasmine before too. You have to remember the scale we're talking here, there are hundreds of models on concurrently on most of these sites. AFC maybe represents less than .01% of all cam models and even here you have models with contempt for members.

Contempt for all members/men or specifically contempt only for those willing to spend money simply for spending? I feel like we may be reading the point very differently.

Model: Hi bb! My name is..., I'm from Europe and you?
Me: My name is (fake name) i'm from Europe too.
Model Which country? It's really your real name?
Me: I'm not asking you what part of Europe you're from
Model: I was just curious? Your age?
Me: 25 you?
Model: You're so young! I'm 23. You'll turn 26 this year? Or it was your birthday before
Me: I was born in January
Model: Are you student.............................................................................
....

All of this conversation in pvt of course. With model making interruption between each question and answer. Welcome to LiveJasmin

When her grandmother dies 6 times in a year!

Whoa...whoa. Maybe her Grandpa just really loves the ladies.... He might be the man at the nursing home breaking hips, hearts, and I'll stop now....

As for the original question I think it is really subjective to your own personal feelings. Obviously there are more blatant things that can be considered manipulative or greedy, but personal choice is still something you have to take accountability for.

I'm a guy so I wouldn't know what they do to female members I can only speak for myself. I don't know if things are different if you're a female member, I would assume when it come to wealth the situation wouldn't change. I'm not Professor X and can't read their minds to tell you what % dislike males vs wealth.

I don't see how the point would be hard. Some models want to scam members because they have contempt for them. I just gave examples of where that contempt stems from anger over feeling controlled by male member and where it comes from anger from what they view as selfish wealth.

It goes both ways to. There are members who just want to scam models. I think it boils down to, there are garbage people out there. And it sucks because it gives the good models a bad wrap.

Yes there are members that scam but this thread isn't about that. I don't think anyone here is speaking as all members or believes all members should be held as saints. My comment were about a very specific motivation for scamming not as much as the scams themselves.

We've had the, "faking seizure for tips", and the, "Didn't get my bonus videos or skype show" or "Raffles to nowhere" threads about shady models

Just the same we've had the, "30sec rule abuse", "Fake tip messages" and "I'm a regular, it's me time all the time" threads about shady members

I have seen such things openly expressed before.

There was a Canadian girl, new model, had guest chat enabled on mfc. Chatting in her room, I threw a one-liner out after a guest spouted some particularly rotten nonsense, and boy, she just went off on me. No reason for it really, other than someone had given a little girl a feminist hammer and told her to run around verbally whacking anything she thought might be a nail.

There was also a Ukrainian model, she was equally nasty. But it seemed more directed at any and all members, rather than any misandry based hatred. Probably stemmed from having to put up with mistreatment from users over really long shifts. Hateful on mfc, on jasmine soon as I went in her room she started putting up that "take me prvt" nag screen.

But these aren't the types that really take advantage of anyone I think. The real danger is the doe-eyed disarmers; the ones who can bury the hurt and the hatred down deep inside, keep it hidden behind a soft innocent expression. They beckon you to let down your guard and draw nearer. By the time you get close enough to them to peel back the facade and gawk at the monster beneath, well it's usually too late.

If they're so unhappy, why not just find another job? Why take it out on the members who are there making it possible to pay your rent and groceries?

99.999999% aren't forced into camming. They're there of their own free will. Sure, there is potential to make more (in some girl's cases A LOT more) than a typical vanilla job. I'm going to assume that what brings anybody to the business.

But it's not like there isn't opportunities to live a normal life and get by just fine. So it seems like greed and not necessity is the factor here.

I think many girls fall into the "I'll just do it until I can save for a house/apt or a car" and wind up living in the moment every opportunity from $$ they've never seen before. Get stuck in it for years. And become more jaded over the years.

Jaded because:
Greys/Guests coming in every time begging, verbally abusing
Members only see them as a sex object to get off to and go about their way
And the members that claim to want to know them / like them as a person still find some way to ask for a sexual favor or still buy shows
The models simply don't feel appreciated
They have to keep the job a secret and aren't as sociable as they would like to be, start to feel very isolated

I don't know, it all varies person to person. I can understand it to a point. But not to the point where it seems like my empathy is being mistaken for weakness and a welcome mat for disrespect.

This gave me a giggle. I've had two of three grandpas die in the last year, but all four grandmas are alive and kickin'. There's a lot of divorce & remarry going on in my family. So many grandparents!

Most people don't have my family-bush-instead-of-a-tree thing going on, though, so grandma dying all the time is uuuusually a scam.

Contempt for all users is not uncommon, it starts from cam culture designed to protect young models and to help them do what they need to. JJTP inferred the dehumanizing part but the attitude that members are losers, jackasses, rubes to be fleeced is common. This makes it easy to lie to them, swindle them, lead them on etc. This does tend to place more respect on a freeloader, as they are only perverts, not idiots.

There are a few acf models with this attitude, that seem to respect the non-spenders far more than the spenders. @JoleneBrody perhaps you are just missing the language for a sweet tone.

I know and enjoy a few models with this attitude, that will take advantage of any member, even ones they know.... It isn't personal, and doesn't necessarily make them bad people. It can lead to some interesting plays for your tokens.
A model with this type of attitude may eventually allow herself to like a few members, but respecting their spending might be pushing it.

This thread should probably focus on the plays to take advantage of members, otherwise it will get nasty quite fast. Who cares why a model wants to take advantage of a member? Just accept that some do want to, and get on with telling us members a few ways to spot the threat.

For instance: The models who only seem to like to Skype always scares me. Is the aim collecting personal details or is it more that members request it more often than pvt?

Selling cookies. I have scoured the internet, and I can't find a single frame of a model washing their hands.

If you get sick, don't come crying to me.

To be fair, I visit camsites MFC and CB for about 5 years now and mostly it is a pleasant experience, guess I am not attracted to rooms with girls having a negative attitude....

On occasion a girl is fishing for more money, but it is up to me to spent more on her or not, is OK if she is trying, if she is pushing too hard there are plenty of other rooms...

:)

Oh I'm no ways disagreeing. Just stating people can be absolute garbage, and it sucks for all of us. :c
