Hi, I'm new to Chaturbate and I just went in a broadcaster's room and it says "this room requires a password" with no other information on how to contact them for the password. Do I have to upgrade my membership or buy tokens in order to contact them for the password?

You do not. Normally when you see this it is because the model did a password show, a set amount of time for x many tokens instead of a private show and then logged off. Some set it this way then they quit Chaturbate, instead of deleting the account. My studio did it this way because of the signups some people did and the account could still earn money if the user(s) continued to buy tokens to spend, the studio could cash it out and keep 100% for themselves.

studio model accounts can't participate in rev share, if it wasnt an official studio account they could but seems like it would be easier simply to use the main studio accounts affiliate links. Perhaps they meant fan club?

That is why I deleted it, meant fan club. Why someone would stay in a fan club when the model is no longer broadcasting on said account is beyond me.

I have wondered for a while if CB are ever going to offer an offline messaging service, like inbox type thing. Cam4 do it.
