The series just started streaming on Netflix in the last couple of days.

So far I've watched 3 of the 6 episodes and I'm liking it..
1. Women on top. Is about two female porn director, Holly Randall, and Erica Lust. I was very familiar with Holly, and had heard of Erica. I thought it did really good job showing both the importance of having women in the porn production business, but also their challenges. Suze Randall, Holly's mom, and former model turned glamor photographer, stole the show. She is one kickass lady.

2. Love Me Tinder. Chronicles the tinder experience of a former Big Brother contestant. I found the episode pretty meh.

5. Take me private. This episode will be the one that is most relevant to ACFers. It follows the relationship between SM model Alice and her Australian fan The end up meeting IRL and the results are both powerful and poignant.

I know a lot of people hated the movie, but I think you owe to yourself give Hots Girls Wanted a fresh look.

Having completed my binge watching, the episodes are typically about 40 minutes long, I'll finish describing the rest.

3. Owning It. MFC camgirl Bailey Rayne, also does other adult work. She is a recruiter for a LA porn production company. The episode focus on Bailey and three girls she has recruited. Bailey is doing very well making $150K+ a year, owning most of her content, only doing work she is comfortable, and having multiple income streams. She is exactly the empowered sex worker that was missing from the Hot Girls wanted film. One of the girls she recruits Selana Storm seems to on similar path. However, another Bonnie a poor girl from Oklahoma isn't doing so well. She quit stripping because it made her hate men. She is very naive and seems to be coping with sex work, through heavy drug use. This struck me as pretty balanced portrayal.

4. Money shot. This episode focused on male sex workers. Two white guys who are primarily in the production ends of things, and one veteran black pornstar, and younger black guy fairly new to the business.
It seems that male sex workers often face the same family issues the woman face. The thing I liked about the episode is dealt head-on with one of the nastier aspect of the sex business interracial porn.

Interracial porn is almost entirely based on incredibly racist stereotypes. A huge ripped black guy, with a monster cock has very rough sex, with a young innocent petite white girl. The black guy acts like a savage and by the end the white girl is begging for more. These stereotypes go back to the early 1800s (although the white girl liking it has become more common.) and are considered repugnant in the rest of society, but in porn nobody really gives it a second thought because it sells.

6:Don't stop filming. This was a very weird subject to cover in a series about sex work. This episode was about the pretty famous case of 18 year old girl, who broadcast the rape of her 17 year old girlfriend live on Periscope. It was a pretty interesting story but a bad ending to the series.
