help with making my profile- CSS/HTML?!?

Ive been toying around with it the past few days and have been trying to find a free layout/template to use while I figure out the coding and suchgn to MAKE my own.
Years ago I used to do alot of html s tuff when myspace and neopets were big. I actually learned on Neopets when I was like ten, but I dont remember too much, just little things.

Also, im curious what other girls favor for ;video and photo editing software. I want to be able to cut parts out of the videos and put music over it and such.

Thanks for ;;your time guys! Any advisement helps!

I've been camming for a while now, but just not on this site until recently. I am also curious as to what I can do to change up my profile, and have come in contact with a lovely girl who said she has someone design her page for her, of course with a cost. You can hire a lot of graphic designers, or learn some new stuff on youtube. I'm also commenting to see if any good responses come about that may be able to help me out as well.

i taught myself using some brilliant websites! but im using a template currently while i teach myself the rest didnt take long at all to learn and get to grips with the basics to edit a template .its not a be all and end all having a css /html profile but im so happy ive learnt what i have so far its actually really simple just time consuming .

now im going to teach myself to do the whole lot without a template :)

When I do profiles and websites, I always start in photoshop, for me it helps to have a visual of what im trying to make. Once I can see it then coding becomes a lot easier. for photo editing I tend to use lightroom and photoshop.

If you want to learn how to do the html and css for profiles then codecadamy is great, theres some little things that you need to work around with mfc profiles, but after doing the html and css sections on there you should be able to get it done :)

I too, thought it would be easy for me do bc I too made a lot of myspace layouts and stuff back in those days and was pretty good at it. But with the CSS too, and not having a template to start with, it's been so frustrating. Thank you everyone for the great advice tho, I will check out those websites. I have checked out pokerbabe's site before, but got easily overwhelmed pretty quickly. (my fault, not hers) She has a lot of helpful info I wish I knew how to properly execute. I spent 6 hours one day trying to play around with my HTML and I just got some messed up images and some weird text and really bad looking sections. lol.

Does anyone reading use cammodelexpress for creating their page? It seems pretty handy.

I have never used camcoldel express, if you use chrome and im pretty sure firefox does this also, you can right click and inspect element on an mfc profile you like and as you move over the code it will highlight the section of the profile that code makes

thank you for that, I will get back to it and see if maybe I can figure it out myself one last time. I know what you mean, I think. I'd do that by viewing page source then > inspect element? My friend who is studying coding for university was over the other day helping me but she wasn't really teaching me or anything as she went. but I remember her also mentioning "inspect element" haha

Yea, you will have both view source and inspect element, view source will open the source in a new page and inspect element will open a panel that highlights things on the profile depending on the code you click

No problem, I have actually been thinking about starting to offer profiles, banners, logo's etc to pick up some extra cash. So that might be something I can offer soon :) but im more than happy to help if you cant work out how to do something :)

I really like pokerbabes templates!
I also like to look at the coding on profiles that I like.
If you right klick in google chrome on a website you can click 'inspect'. The page html and css will all show up for you.
You can use pieces of that to try and personalize pieces that you like in other websites.
Also youtube has a lot of specific tutorials!

This website helped me to get rid of the MFC layout so I could try stuff out:


I like camtasia for video editing.

That should work for setting a background image behind your bio and cam if thats what you are looking for.

You might be able to get someone to code your profile for relatively cheap or for content! I know a few cam models who have gone the route of making content for people for profile work. There's one guy in particular who makes really nice looking profiles that takes content as payment! Apparently he's really nice and easy to work with as well. :)

As for editing software I personally use Lightworks (it's free and I'm cheap lol) for videos! And for photos I tend to just transfer them over to my phone and use Facetune or VSCO. If they are really fancy HD photos though I suggest looking into Photoshop so you can keep the quality. You can get a subscription for 9.99/month so it won't completely hurt your wallet.
