Anytime I receive one as a gift I use it on MFC. And then when I learned about the smaller token packages I burned up several leftover ones.

I always get ones that can't be used online as gifts from family. I've used one that could be used online once like 5 yrs ago... but I have a M/C... so I don't need a prepaid.

Have you ever used a prepaid card?

Yes, I have. Also, it looks like you can't use a prepaid card for Redbox rentals, unfortunately. I guess because prepaid cards are usually temporary, and they like to have an e-mail address on file of the person making the purchase, so they can e-mail you those alerts about your purchase.

OMG, one year I bought someone either a $25 or $50 VISA gift card, and I accidentally threw it in the garbage. I think I had walked home with so many bags of stuff, and was in a hurry to get stuff out and put away, that I ended up just throwing out the bag that still had the gift card in it.

  • Sorry to hear that.

@Guy, what is the point to this post? I know sometimes you're just curious about new experiences/the world, like in this post, but this isn't even a scenario like that. You're not asking, "To those of you who have used a prepaid card, was it hard to reload it?" or "Can the purchaser see what you've bought with it?" Nothing. You're just asking an asinine question that has no purpose nor objective.

Of course, you can post whatever you want here (as long as Amber's ok with it). Since this seems to be your first foray into the world of forums, I'll share some advice with you that you can take or leave. Whenever I decide to post a new thread, I ask myself these questions:
  • Is there already a thread about this subject? Can I use that thread to answer my question or to continue the same conversation?
  • Does this subject actually help or benefit anyone to read or answer?
  • Does this subject require in-depth answers? (If just yes or no answers are needed, I ask on Twitter.)
  • Am I actually just rambling or saying insignificant things? (If yes, I just write it here.)

Those are just some of the thoughts that I process before starting a new thread, so hopefully that will help you. As it stands right now, this thread is pointless. You aren't asking for advice (like if you asked about ease of use or safety in use or whatever), you aren't giving advice that can help others, and you aren't making a joke that will make people laugh. If there's an actual question about the prepaid cards that you have, please post that. We can't help you if you don't tell us what you're wanting to know.

Was it a reloadable prepaid card?

I think so. It was a visa gift card.. Duke and I share our bank accounts, so buying presents for each other is hard. For bdays and xmas etc we get 2 cards and put however much we plan on spending on gifts on them so that we can both buy things without the worry that the other person will see what we got them on the bank account

I want to find a good prepaid card for SM. They dont accept gift cards like MFC does.

I thought it was pretty common sense that he wanted to use a reloadable card on the cam site without him mentioning it...

https://www.capitalone.com/ for united states

https://www.capitalone.ca/ for canada

I use them anywhere and everywhere online or in person they will mail you a card no one has ever declined me to use it.

Capital One's reloadable card is actually a credit card for rebuilding credit https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/secured-mastercard/

sorry I have no idea and I highly doubt if the first one didn't work that another one is going to. mine works anywhere thats all i know.
they have plenty of other types other than the one I have, I don't understand why wouldnt want to build your credit in the process without running up a bill when you can only use what you have on the card. seems much more sensible to me.

i know we have vanilla prepaid mastercard or visa but they don't work everywhere ethier
