In the last six months, I feel CB has deteriorated in some ways that are very important to the principles it originally represented. I could go on for a while about the number of models getting banned for "looking too young" but this last month I saw a good friend who is 26, and who really looks in every way older than 25, get banned for age. Days and weeks go by with no good communication. She loses her income for what must be a simple misunderstanding.
Recently I was helping someone whose profile had some memes in a photo album. CB banned the photo album unless the model could produce age identification for every person in every meme!! Memes!! These were photos of old people: all of the images were clearly adults. None of the images involved nudity. Is that just insane? Another image was a hand-drawn illustration of two adults. That one was banned because it depicted a religious character. The only part of the CB T&C that talks about religious issues talks about costumes you can wear during a performance. Someone at CB read that and decided that gives them the power to ban all images and language relating to religion? Is that not also just insane?
For me CB always represented libertarian values. It felt like a place that celebrated free choice and sexual expression. And it felt like the kind of place that tolerated a wide range of ideas, as long as those ideas represented things that were legal. What CB is becoming instead is an island run by a dictator, whose line employees have delusions of grandeur and are slowly turning the CB website into a place where they can crush all free expression, simply because they feel like it, without any recourse, without any *good* reason.
More than anything else, these actions are starting to make CB just not very fun. I used to think that I did not need to spend money on any other webcam site, but now I am rethinking that. In the last few weeks, I have spent almost no money on webcam models. All of this bizarre censorship just ruins my spirit to participate as a customer.
