I have not gotten the flu for many years and I have not gotten the flu shot either.

I had received this in an email today and I need to pass it on for your own health and safety. I think this might be a good preventative.

HAHAHA!! I think this may be my new favourite funny. Why the hell did these guys pose like that with a camera right there?? They must be married... or simply weird. Maybe both?

I had not had the flu in like 15 years got my first flu shot ever last year, and my second this year, and apparently one they hadn't counted on showed up, cuz I'm still half sick and two weeks on.

As to why the pose, I'm thinking she said, "come on one last swim before we go" and was trying to drag him along, and he is saying, "No you go along with out me" and is giving her a little pat of encouragement.

Or, It may not be weird at all, depending on the beach.

the last time i had the real flu was back in 2009, and it was the swine flu... and it was a horror movie...
i do have alot of health issues... so for me rarely getting the flu, without flu shots, seems pretty useless

i wonder if you can't transfer the flu through cunt licking or cock sucking

Sure, I think that is possible, though very unlikely, because I believe the only way that could happen, would be if one person was to lick, or suck respective genitalia soon enough after a contagious person had done likewise, that the virus remained alive. I'm thinking it could be passed on in that way the same as it can be by sharing a glass, or smoking behind someone who is contagious. This is all just a guess, but I am very curious if it is possible or not. In fact I am so intrigued, I would be willing to volunteer my penis as a transfer medium if anyone else wants to get scientific. ;)

I havent had the flu yet this year, remarkable since I have an awful immune system. I do eat a lot better now though, making sure I get all my vitamins! And quit biting my nails. Putting germs in your mouth ees baaaad.

Oh wait, I spend most of my time in my apartment away from human contact, that kind of explains..Im going in for blood work tomorrow, but you guys reminded me to get my shot. :woops:

Shaking hands is not the problem. The problem is what you do with your hands afterwards. The average person touches their face 16 times an hour. So, either never touch your face or at least make sure to wash your hands after you touch anything anyone else might have touched. You could shun all human contact and never leave home. Since all of those are fairly difficult to do everyday, every time. Washing you hands regularly and getting a flu shot are your next best bets.

I have to be honest I've either never had the flu, or can't tell the difference between a flu and a bad cold :?
but I haven't had a cold in years... (and I've never had a flu shot and usually work around loads of people :shhh:)
maybe they should take whatever I'm made of and make me the new vaccine/cure! :-D :thumbleft:

on a serious prevention note:

handwashing is number one.
if you are under regular contact with lots of people and reallllly want to avoid exposure to stuff there's always PPE gear. face masks, gloves etc. tho since influenza is airborne and spread through direct contact as well its a bitch to avoid. it only takes one good sneeze that hits your mucous membranes to have a chance of catching it. sexual spreading? possible, but lower risk than kissing really because of where the virus prefers to grow

I have never gotten a flu shot as i just worry about what all the added chemicals can do to you. And its been years since ive had the flu. The last time i had one was when that deadly flu was going around about 10 years ago. Not swine or bird flu, but just the flu. Yes i almost died from it too. I also rarely leave the house but to do laundry and grocery shopping. And im careful to wash my hands after wards too.

i've got the flu now :crybaby: as the girls in the models only section can attest to my whining, haha
i got the flu shot and everything, i'm a clean freak so i wash my hands all the damn time, i don't interact with all that many people, auuughhhh

I have worked in the medical field as a medic or medical assistant for 7 years. I can tell you the basics. Sounds like common sense but many do not do it!

1) Wash your hands before you eat, after the bathroom, after being out in public touching things like doors and handrails for at least 30 seconds!!( hand sanitizer is good when there is no water but it should be a last resort)
2) Do not touch your face unless you absolutely have to and only AFTER you have washed your hands. (Most germs come from touching things then touching your face where it enters your body through your nose, mouth or eyes!)
3) Lysol spray or wipes is a great way to disinfect the house. Use it on doorknobs, handles, the phone, remote...anything that gets touched a lot.
4) Don't share any towels, silverware etc with someone in your house who is sick

Hope it helps!

So many people can not tell the difference or confuse the two. The common cold is what many people get every year and will say they had the flu. For me, colds are just annoying. Mainly the stuffy, can't breathe through my nose, coughing and having trouble getting to sleep due to those symptoms. A little miserable but can get through the day. The flu on the other hand is debilitating to me. Muscle aches, shortness of breath, and high fever usually. You will get some crossover of the the symptoms and that is where the confusion lies.

Let me add on the hand washing, that to be most certain your hands are germ free, (well until you touch something or are exposed aerobically), you should wash hands under warm/hot water rubbing vigorously, as the heat created from the friction at the micro level is very important. Then instead of reaching up and turning the water off, you should use the corner of a fresh clean towel to turn the water off, using the rest of the towel to dry with. In a public restroom avoiding the cross contamination from facet handle/knobs is more important for obvious reasons, before starting, a length of paper towel should be reeled out and left to hang, (when faced with roll towel dispenser), or the top towel pulled from a pulldown type, then after washing rip off towel or pull out towel and use that towel to turn off water. If there is only a warmair hand drier it should be turned on with a towel also and you are screwed on turning off the water. It is all rather silly to have any thought that you can keep your hands germ free in any sort of public space where anything you touch may have been touched by others - even a can of soup may have been a rethought choice by someone a minute before. I just thought to mention the very common mistake of even ppl trained in the medical field of cross contamination. It is thought that most new infections ppl get while in hospital are introduced this way, not by equipment or environment that is not sterile, but by nurses & doctors who believe they are properly scrubbed but in fact have cross contaminated themselves.
