Fan mail

I am curious how camgirl go about answering fan mail/inquirers and what are the preferred ways of getting it.

There are so many ways of getting message from fans/customers that I am somewhat at loss as to which is the best one (I realize it will vary by model.)

So for example, I download a video for a model and eventually watch it. I am really impressed with at and want to know if there are similar videos to it or perhaps I am interested in a custom video, or often I just want say "wow great job". The next day I get a snap from the model, the snap isn't noteworthy, but reminds oh that was a really good video. For most models that I am fans of there are numerous ways to send the message.

In some cases for me

skype
and for others KIK, instragram etc.

Anyway I have to believe for most models its a pain to have check so many inboxes. So I am curious if there are preferred methods and perhaps just as important, which ones you find annoying to deal with?

That is really sweet!

I prefer MFC mail or email, just because I like to keep compliments so I can look back on them when I have a bad day.

Eta: Also, publicly saying on Twitter or in her chat room "hey, I got Amber's new video and I loved it!!! Super great quality, really hot". I like when guys mention they like my vids publicly because it helps other members know that it's worth it.

Some models can take months to reply to messages, no matter how you send them. Just thinking of not replying to messages would bother me, I like to keep my inboxes tidy.

I personally prefer MFC mail over other forms of communication.

Twitter keeps messages to 140 characters or less, so unless your message is short and sweet ("Loved your mirror video! Do you have any more like that?") Twitter isn't the best option for fan mail. [Edit: except what Gen said! Those types of tweets are great because you pay us a compliment and give us an opportunity to promote ourselves, and you know how camgirls love to promote!]

I do not use Kik with members anymore because I found myself too tied to my phone, and some members who had it often expected answers pretty much immediately ("Hi Lily!" If I have not answered within 10 minutes: "Well I guess you don't want to talk to me, I understand, but I wish I hadn't wasted my tokens" etc etc.) The pressure of having to respond relatively quickly is uncomfortable for me, so that option is out.

Snapchat I prefer to use for pictures. I definitely DO enjoy when members reply to my snaps with notes ("Wow, those panties are hot!" or even "You're so sexy, can we do a private show sometime?") but these are best kept short and sweet.

Email is tricky but honestly I prefer to use my email for business things-- website signups and notifications, receiving gift cards, or discussing details of custom work I'm doing. I have had a member in the past who very much abused his knowledge of my email address (which I do not often advertise outside of my Clips4Sale page for the purpose of custom content) by sending me long, rambling, many times rude emails full of detailed critiques of my work peppered with compliments. Maybe that experience turned me off to the idea of receiving random fan mail by email? I'm not sure. (The exception to this is when a member emails me links to capped videos or stolen content they find of me. That is VERY MUCH appreciated, and the links are often messed up by MFC's weird mail formatting.)

I like MFC mail because I can see it every time I sign online, but I don't have to be visibly online to check it; I don't get junk emails or anything to distract me from someone's letter; all the emails are personal (with the exception of those guys who cut-and-paste the same weird stuff to hundreds of models fishing for a response), and I can take my time to answer them!

These, of course, are just my personal preferences! I'm sure there are models out there who would disagree with me on several points, and that's ok. What a good and interesting question for you to have asked!

Hey! I agree that MFC mail would be the best option. Every time I go online I can see my messages there and can reply to them as I am camming or just after/before shows. Some of my regulars do use my email address but I'm not so hot at replying to them as quickly. I mainly just use it for receiving gift cards or Twitter notifications. Snapchat and Twitter are good for small things and as these ladies have already said, anything that gets our name out further is awesome.
