I'm curious whether anyone here knows from actual experience about how vulnerable the so-called reverse image searches make us. People can upload an image to a website that will search billions of photos taken from the internet for matches. These services are offered to the public by some companies free of charge. I'm afraid to try it out on my own images for fear that simply searching might help train it and improve its accuracy in finding me (maybe paranoia, maybe not). So my question is: does anyone have any real-life experience with the problems that AI facial recognition poses to we models? Has anyone of you dared to try it on your own images to see what happens, or had a creepy viewer use it and find your social media photos. I'm mostly talking about the risks of being outed, doxed or stalked because of people using image searches.

That's not a reverse image search, reverse image search is like what Google has. You are referring to facial recognition searches but that's not an ai thing and it's not going to improve accuracy.

If you submit multiple photos of your face when you are doing a facial recognition search then that particular search will have more accurate results but the system is not learning from it

My advice is to opt out of those types of pages, it can only find photos accessible to the public so just keep that in mind with your social media. Watch out for things that are very easily accessible like for example public wedding photos (sometimes the photographer posts them too), publicly accessible work/school photos, etc

Your own friends/followers on your real social media might use that type of site and then message you with some ridiculous story "oh my god I was just randomly browsing the web and your photo came up" feel free to ask them to explain step by step how they found your photo :giggle:

hey so….

Yes. This is a super real issue that absolutely can out you. There’s two issues here.

Issue 1 - people you know might run your face and find your porn. VPN block your area, and opt out of anything you can .

Issue 2 - fans get curious and find your real life info.

The best thing you can do is to control where your image is online - outside of sw. Examples:

Ask your friends not to publish wedding photos with your face on photography websites. Ask your hairdresser to blur photos of your face on social media. Do not allow yourself to be in any local news coverage. Your personal social media should have NO public photos of you. And ideally should not be under your real name.

And I think more of this is helpful to discuss in models only since there’s info that pertains to safety. I’d encourage you to get access and ask there - there are tips for specific sites, like how to pay to remove yourself etc.

Facial recognition is only getting better.

You reminded me of a site that could find all your accounts based on your photo. These accounts were only related to webcams (all sites). I once used this to find all my old accounts and names. I was surprised that he showed a site where I only did one test broadcast and never opened it again.
But they also give you the option to remove yourself from search. Using a photo with a special caption next to your face.
I have cleaned this up to minimize the use of such information by scammers.

If anyone is interested I can search for the name of this site. Or maybe someone already knows about it.

Please don’t share the site names publicly

Yes, I also think that it is not worth doing this, since unfortunately it can be used for different purposes.
But I want girls to know that they can remove themselves from this search. It is safe and they do not require documents like most scam sites.

One of the easiest things to help is to NOT post the same photos (even from the same series - photo set) onto your SW platforms and Social media platforms.
The unfortunate reality is, some guys can be real creeps and stalkers so will go to fuck knows what lengths to find people, so this like anything isn't a foolproof way to prevent it, but it certainly is one good way to stop it.

Don't even show photos you have on your real social media on screen for a second to guys, so many of them will record or screenshot and then find you that way. Be mindful.
