hello guys, I don't know if this happens to you but it happens to me constantly, users enter the room and leave as soon as they enter... it makes me super unmotivated

Sometimes when I’m browsing models’ rooms, it’s hard to really see the model or get an idea of what’s happening in the room from the preview image, so I’ll pop into her room for a few seconds (or stay a while, if it’s what I’m looking for). Maybe they’re just browsing.

Could also be issues with page load or video buffering. Sometimes I can fix a connectivity issue by just refreshing my page. But I know that probably gives the model a series of messages that I’m leaving and entering the room a lot, which I’m sure may be annoying after a while.

As a user there are typically 3 reasons I might do it:

1) I hate being the only person (or the only one with tokens) in a room. Too many experiences getting harassed via PM by the model
2) Sometimes I click the wrong thumbnail or the "next model" buttons by mistake
3) I get into the room and there is something I didn't expect - model looks totally different, is doing something I am not into, etc.

I wouldn't take it personally. A lot of times I do it and go back later and then spend a good amount of time/tokens with them

This happens a lot in my room, and I see it a lot when I visit other rooms. I notice that some people leave as soon as I acknowledge their presence. Like they wanted to just lurk and not be noticed and they split when I say hi.

I am guilty of doing it, too. On CB, the thumbnails are squished square versions of rectangles. If it's not what I expected when I land in the room I take off right away.

As a user, I gotta confess I sometimes do that... sorry. I can think of three reasons why:
  • I already had my mind set on visiting the room of a model I know, but I see a thumbnail of one that's totally my type, so I enter hers and take a little peak before going to the room I had planned.
  • I find other models on the room I'm on, so I visit their respective rooms for a second just because I'm curious.
  • The room I'm on isn't streaming well on my device, so I visit anyone else's to discard a problem on my side or on the whole platform.

Hmmm... we each actually have different reasons!

Streamate is buggy as hell. I've seen myself going into a models room and finding there's either no sound or no image (black screen). I then jump back out and into another random model's room just to confirm that the problem isn't at my end. I then leave that room as well. Within the space of 10 seconds I've probably left two models scratching their heads.

This is very common and happens to every model. Sometimes it's members room-hopping, and clicking on 'Next Model'.

Because of you and your post, @andrecampos87 , now I don't have the heart to leave a room right after I enter! Now I leave it open for a couple of minutes, even if I ignore it and do something else.

Damn you! 😆

If you're not planning to interact with the model at all, the 'entering and leaving' thing probably is best, imo. To me it just seems like the "nicer" thing to do instead of just sit in the room without saying hi.
