Wouldn't it be nice if mfc members lost their premium status if they got banned enough times by enough models within a certain time frame? That would put an end to so much unwanted behavior and improve overall atmosphere on the site.
Been suggested for years. Good luck getting that in place.

Personally? I wish MFC would take more initiative in protecting the models and removing deranged people from the site but given their track record it seems to be something low on their list of priorities. If its not seriously cutting into their profits, they won't see it as important. And really, given the "hands off" social network style of the site, it doesn't seem like their responsibility either.

From what we understand, MFC keeps a pretty small support staff and low overhead costs. They are almost totally hands off and models can run their rooms however they like. Its part of the appeal of the site and what makes it unique. Ultimately its up to the models to handle trolling attempts with grace and ban/ignore members as they see fit. Members can also put other members on ignore and change who can PM them.

There are a lot of work around people use to keep harassing or watching models. For MFC to track down, discern clear cases of harassment, prove it, and then keep a blacklist is a lot more work than they have historically put into things. They would probably have to hire extra support staff. Even if they did, there is nothing to stop those people from taking their harassment outside MFC.

TL;DR It would be nice but don't hold your breath.

Methinks if a model bans a mook for 60 days twice, then there should be a perma-ban option. Three strikes and yer out!

:twocents-02cents:
That would imply a 2nd chance is given though. Many models just copy paste their ban list right back in to reactivate it for another 60 days without thought. So everyone on their list would actually be perma-banned after one strike in your scenario.

Which brings it right back to the question of why is there only the 60 day option?

I think it's clear that you're both right and there just just be a perma ban option. It's super annoying that there isn't one and it seems pretty silly to only give us temporary bans.

The three strike option could help reduce the accidental perm-ban, if that was an option right off the bat. That was my thinking anyway. :dontknow:

On the bright side, ignore is better than a ban anyway. Ignore is permanent and no one ever sees anything to do with them ever again. Yes they can get in to see the video, but they can on ban too. So bans don't really work, even now, the way many models think they work.

Truthfully the best thing would be to just get rid of the 60 day ban all together. Have the 6 hour ban for those you're giving a 'cooling off' chance or Ignore to never deal with them again.

I mean, I love ignore and I use it frequently. Generally if someone is lame enough to get banned, they're getting ignored too unless they are just being taught a lesson or "cooling off". I don't think they should take 60 day bans away though and I still think a perma-ban is needed. You're saying that bans don't really work, but surely they don't work mainly for people who are not lazy or are a bit more tenacious. I know it might be fairly simple to get around a ban, but I like to think that at least SOME percentage of banned folks wont come back just because they don't feel like dealing with it. Or perhaps if they come back a week later and see that they're still banned, they'll get the message that they're not welcome. Not everyone who gets banned is a horrible, dangerous, troll, many are reasonable but fucked up too much. I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't want to be someplace that they truly aren't wanted. I think a longer ban can help with communicating that.

Bans don't actually stress me out very much, so I think this is probably less of an issue for me personally, but I know that for many models it can be kind of a nightmare if they get crazy enough people bothering them. It would be nice to have better tools to keep undesirables away.

I CAN COPY AND PASTE?!?!

But yeah seriously, not having a permanent ban option is silly.

Hahaha that's what I thought when I read that, too. Am I missing that feature? Because if it was just copying and pasting instead of individually clicking each name multiple times that would be an improvement.

You guys really need to ask your room for help. I was in a models room about a year ago who was threatened by a premium. A couple of us wrote to MFC, with my email below.

I was chatting to a lovely model called Jett Foxx who was playing music and drinking beer naked on her couch. While we were there someone called LatinJC started making comments but either had a broken keyboard or was otherwise retarded and could not post complete sentences. After being warned once by Jett she banned him for being disruptive. He has since claimed to have contacted MFC to have her banned and and added her to a list of models on his profile he claims to have had banned from the site. If Jett Foxx is banned I will withdraw from this site again. My previous profile here was Red7227 so you can see that I will be a loss to your business.

LatinJC's profile was gone from the site the next day.

I make no claims for having special powers, but I suspect the members have a lot more pull than models when it comes to getting people removed.

There will always be trolls on the internet who will abuse women just because they are women, and there is nothing you can do about it. I was just reminded of this again today browsing the Buzzfeed channel on YT.

I almost quit MFC about two months after I found it b/c of trolls. I had the misfortune of a bad string of luck that almost every night I would be in some room where someone who obviously was very angry at women would show up. I was shocked and truly upset at how vile some of these guys were. Like I say I almost quit. I have not in the 5 years since ran into so many trolls in such a short span of time. What once shocked me, I find to be good sport these days. The best is when a model sees the direction things are going, and she gives you a little slack to play with a troll. Of course there are some trolls who don't care that they are being made to look like world class douche bags. And, OMG when you can get them to start talking about kicking your ass, that just has me in stitches. I know it is wrong and not WWJD, but i find it hard to resist.

As was mentioned, as long as there are men out there who are angry at women and have access to the internet, there will be trolls at MFC and every other site where they can hate on women.
