Don't know where to start

Okay so I'm trying to get started as a Cam Girl, but I have no Idea where or how to go about that. So any help would be greatly appreciated

The best place to start would be to read threads here about the different sites and how they work. Chaturbate, MFC, and Streamate are going to be the 3 major sites that are talked about on this forum. Then go to those sites and watch a wide variety of cams. Come back here and do more research. Decide what type of show you want to put on. Do you want to work on a public based site like cb/mfc or private based site like sm? Then Id probably do a bit more research. Make accounts on whatever sites you choose. It doesn't hurt to try out a few until you find the right fit for you.

Always start off with what you're most comfortable with and do more and more, if that is what you wish. Get comfortable in the role first.
WHilst you have the "new" tag, you may want to try do some flashes or whatever because being "new" is a big window for gaining members/followers. Try take advantage of it as much as you can but within the limits you are happy with. Don't let anyone try encourage you into doing anything you don't want. Don't let people pester you to make them "mod" and help you - they are only there for themselves when doing that. If something sounds too good, on cam sites it more than likely is.

Use common sense a lot, especially whilst you're new - guys will try all kinds of things to get you naked or worse.
Do not give out your phone number either to begin with.. I saw a model who was all nice and happy etc and she did two very bad and silly things pretty much instantly and she regret it a lot: some grey guy came along and was constantly begging to make him moderator to "help her" - she did it (mistake 1); and then he must have pestered her in PM for it, but she gave him her whatsapp (phone) number, and whilst she was live on cam, he KEPT ringing her over and over... She obviously kept telling him to stop... and he would ring MORE and MORE if she didn't reply to his messages - he would constantly be saying "read my PM" in public chat. I think she had a new phone too or one she was unfamiliar with (or maybe she is not very tech savvy) and she was unsure how to block him - even though numerous people tried explaining to her - I think she may have just been overwhelmed though.

But yeah, be very careful, guys will be complete and utter trash (and that is being kind).

When I started in May, I wasn't comfortable doing privates, c2c (cam to cam) or doing nude stuff in public. So my tip menu was kinda more expensive for things like ass/tits/pussy flashes. And I didn't have anything like cum shows or dildo riding.
Then I had to take a break from camming because my computer and Internet connections were really too shitty. I started again recently and now I'm more comfortable with a lot of stuff. I still won't do full nude public shows because the approach I chose is 'tease' shows and I have an innocent/shy persona (well it's also my true personality anyway). But my flashes are not as expensive anymore and I started doing pivate shows. I'm also game for c2c.

As @Brett M and many others on the forum suggest, the most important thing is to do what feels comfortable to you. You can ALWAYS change later. Some people also try more risqué stuff and realize it's not for them and go back to their safe zone.

When I was starting out, I found that reading as many threads as I could on the forum was really useful. But also, I spent some time on Chaturbate and looked for shows and models that seemed to fit the kind of shows I wanted to do. It served a bit as a guide in the beginning. Obviously I'm not suggesting to copy another model in everything she does haha, but like with any kind of art form, I find it nice to have some inspiring muses.

Hey! Semi-experienced chaturbate model thats also shy here. I want to add that being shy and inexperienced isn't neccesarily a bad thing, and nothing to be nervous about. If thats who you are, trying to hard not to be shy and act more experienced can make camming a lot harder than just being true to yourself. There's people out there that will like that about you, trust me! Speaking from my experience on chaturbate I do a lot better when I'm true to who I am anyway, cause then people that like the person I am stay and chat in my room, which in itself makes me more comfortable and less nervous. I also find that giving my room a personal twist with things I like makes me more comfortable, and even act as conversation starters at times. Myself, Im a huge plant nerd so I like to have plants in the background when I stream for example.
Soo, to sum up my blabbering, make the place where you stream cozy and personal, and be yourself, I find that goes a long way on chaturbate anyway (I have no idea if thats true for other sites)

I would think it thru. Like: what can I do that is ok for me?
When you feel good your self with what you can / are willing to do or not. Than you can handle it.

Your shy, truth is most cam girls I met in first day on cb was shy.
Your not alone in feeling that.

But somehow this community is nice, because guys tell every model how wonderful , sexy, beautiful a model is.
And it's true, because it's different viewers in different rooms.
And that may help you get over your shyness.
