Conventions/expo questions

I tried posting this on regular chat but no-one seems to reply, either the readers never been to one or never experienced going to cam conventions or expo, so i'll try my luck here...

Couple days ago I was taking some time off and surf the pages of Chaturbate, I was intrigued when i saw couple of models on the front page having the same background. When I click on their cam, I quickly learn it was some event going on. So here are couple of my questions:
1. Do models get paid to attend a convention/Expo or do they pay, hoping the event will promote their "name"?
2. If a Model is "Sponsored", (If you ever been sponsored), Do they provided accommodations for you to be there? (transportation/room?)
3. Broadcasting live, would you get in trouble if random people are shown in your cam? (thought is was a rule, is there a clause during these events?)
4. If you ever experience these events, is it worth attending? (As a guest or model)

Most of the girls I know , even ones hosting booths still had alot to pay. A aquaintence spent around 1000 to get to Vegas . For mfc and many vids she was at a booth. So I dunno i believe she had to buy food and stuff too. ive never been tho but sounds like a fun experience!

No, however most sites will provide you free tickets to the event. Models still have to cover their own travel and lodging expenses.

Third what was said above - attending a convention is an out-of-pocket thing. It could cost you but costs can be negated by fundraising for your trip with your fans - I ran a fundraiser and my fans funded my trip to AVN convention in Las Vegas last year (I offered videos, pics, more for donations as thanks.)

Models go for many reasons...
1) it’s fun
2) you get to meet other models - for friendship, making videos with them, or camming with them, or just to feel less lonely.
3) some cam sites use conventions as an opportunity to thank us for working with them, by throwing models-only parties with free alcohol, models-only concerts, free branded clothing / swag, etc.
4) it’s good exposure - if you cam from a convention, be sure to put your username on the back of your laptop so passerby’s at the convention can look you up online.
5) some models attend because they are up for awards at the shows.

To answer some of your other questions -
-I know myfreecams allows convention attendees in the background of cam shows, not sure about chaturbate. With mfc, at a convention is the only time it’s ever allowed so it’s fun to take advantage of this and you can get in-person fans involved in your show (get people to tip you to Spank them or get spanked etc.)

-I’ve been to several conventions before and I super super thought they were worth it, but I’m naturally extroverted and LOVE being in a huge crowd, I love parties, and I love love love getting the chance to meet other models, because so much of the webcam life is just me alone at my home. So I look forwards to conventions all year long - for the “fun” aspect of it.

More introverted models or those with anxiety disorders etc or who dislike crowds and overwhelming environments may feel differently.
