This guy supposedly records from Chaturbate, but there's no Chaturbate watermark.
http://[site name banned*10]/Camgirl_Lover

How does he do that?

I thought I'd combat him with using my own watermark, but if he can remove Chaturbates, mine may be futile.

He's recording me every single day now.
Help?!?

Not a bad guess, doesn't look like it to me, but I'll pay closer attention for a couple days.

Thank you!!

The CB logo is just an overlay over the stream, the watermark can also easily be blocked by using adblockplus
There is no logo on that guys caps as he is capping the raw streams.

If you embed your own logo onto your stream at your end, however that will be much harder to be removed. Most capping like that site shows is all automated

How would I do a watermark? I thought of putting a poster behind me with it already on it, like something hanging on the wall that is not any digital content, just a large DCMA warning type thing in poster form. would that work or help to prevent theft?

ManyCam Pro has text you can insert to the bottom I was going to try....
You need the Pro at least to not have the ManyCam watermark.

If you're resourceful you may be able to find the paid version free online. ;)

I've always wondered why whiteboard signs weren't used behind the girl as well... seems like this identifying the participant for any custom vids, or even true privates [and the dmcas] would at lease make them consider their nic will always be linked to something shared like that. It also lets the girl know exactly who is sharing her vids.

A poster or whiteboard would be a genius way to solve this problem - it doesn't interfere with the show because it's not an overlay and if he wants to remove it, he'll have to cover it up frame by frame, which would take a bunch of extra work on his part.

Camgirl lover my butt, if he loved us he wouldn't be doing the very thing that hurts us so badly. :drowning:

The guy recording is "guest".

A piece of duct tape over your webcam may deter him, but he might even record that. Only surefire way to stop him is to quit broadcasting.

Or you can Google "ManyCam old version". The older versions let you use a lot more for free, I find. I have 3.0 and it works wonders.

IMO, trying to 'block' him somehow would be fruitless.

the only way to stop business criminals is to up the cost so it's no longer worth doing. ...this would probably mean investing in something like a PI/hacking group/local organized crime so you have choices about how his well being could be compromised by persisting in his behavior. (enough camgirls going in on a project like this would be quite affordable). It would be a lot less affordable to attempt some sort of legal action.

I suspect, though, that no one feels their livelihood is threatened enough by his behavior to explore these options. it's creepy, and it's annoying if he's making money for nothing, but does anyone actually want to do whatever it takes to deter him?

Theoretically it should be possible to "block" him if you block the country where "he" (the bot in his case) is located. Yes, geo blocks can be bypassed but it would make it harder. No idea what country to block though and if it's US or some bigger state of Europe it means losing a lot of audience with it.

Ya know its funny you guys are talking about people stealing content but yet youre also talking about getting manyvids pro online for free.....guess i just find it hypocritical. Its only a one time purchase of $20+ something. Super cheap

I would assume someone with the kind of hardware to record every hour of someone's broadcast and upload it would know enough about proxies to get around that effortlessly.

short of hitting him where it hurts (e.g., jail time, grievous bodily harm, I can't imagine any hurdles would deter him).

I did buy my O/S and the video editor program I love, but I may have done a lot of torrenting over the years. I never claim to be moral, or that those who cost me anything are immoral.
