Hoping a non-US member can answer something for me-- if you buy tokens outside of the US do you still have to use USD? Or does MFC offer token packages in pounds, euros etc based on location?

Will be traveling, so am curious!

Since the OP is just travelling, wouldn't he/she still be charged in dollars? How does the payment processor determine location -- credit card, billing address, IP address, ...?

Anyway, I am also travelling and I bought tokens like normal by going through a secure tunnel to my home PC. I could have used a VPN service, too. My reason was more because I didn't trust the local Net connection rather than any currency conversion issues.

If you choose CCBill for your payment, you get the option of currency you are billed in. Your IP will determine which currency is automatically selected, but you can choose a different one, if you like. CCBill is only available for small to medium-sized token packages.

Otherwise, I think you are stuck with USD, as far as I know. If you are really curious, connect through a VPN from a non-US IP and you can check for yourself.

IP address. It's logged for fraud protection too. And Romania automatically came up with Euro's for me, London was the Pound. And you can click flags to pay in Yen, Canadian, Australian.
