Bug in CB's search function?

Search works correctly for me with some room names but not some others.

e.g. https://chaturbate.com/?keywords=kimpolloc returns "No search results"

yet going directly to the room shows it DOES exist -> https://chaturbate.com/kimpolloc/

Same result if I try a search from a private browser (i.e. not logged in), so I don't think it's something in the filters restricting the search.

I've found that the search only returns a positive result if the broadcaster has been online recently, within a certain timeframe.
Typing in the room url, or accessing it from a favorite link or followed list works (as you'd expect).

I think it shows broadcasters who've been online within the last 2 or 3 days.

Interesting! So if the search function only returns positive results based on the model being active within "x" number of days then maybe this is something CB should modify, otherwise the searcher might just assume the model has deleted or otherwise lost their account.

I've noticed this for a while now. It seems a poor search method to me.

I don't know if they ever fixed it but a friend of mine used to not appear in the search for #cosplay even though she had the tag and would sometimes be missing from search by name too.

Some food delivery apps do something similar where they only return search results from available restaurants. You can't even search for the restaurant if it's outside of their opening hours. It's a complete lack of understanding of a customer's needs. Hangry fuckers sitting there perusing the menu waiting to order the minute the place opens it's doors
