I love breakfast. As far as the foods that are traditionally associated with it, I think it's my favorite meal category. I'll eat just about anything considered "breakfast food", but I try to go for stuff that's high in protein and fiber, since that's the stuff that keeps you feeling full and energetic long into the day. But I mix it up, and I'll have light breakfasts or heavy breakfasts. I love fruit and toast and most cereals. I don't really drink much coffee, but I do like a nice black tea. Just about the only "breakfast" thing I tend to skip is the stuff that's pure sugar, like donuts and pastries, since I'm not fond of midday sugar crashes. I'll save those for dessert at the end of the day.
I used to be like a lot of folks in this thread, and avoid breakfast, but over the years, that has changed. Eating breakfast is a great way for me to wake up. It helps me start the day off productive and in a good mood. I rarely skip breakfast these days, and I feel healthier for it.
My favorite heavy breakfast is a nice omelette, biscuits with real sausage gravy, and bacon. My favorite standard breakfast is a whole cereal, like oatmeal, granola, or muesli, or, if I'm feeling the need for extra protein, I'll have an egg sandwich. My favorite light breakfast is some whole wheat toast and a piece of fruit.
