It's 1:57 PM & I just got breakfast. Chocolate yogurt because I'm a heathen. But generally it's about 2 hours after I wake up that I can stomach food & even then it's not very much until my body says it's lunch or dinner.

Best breakfast ever tho is eggs (over easy because again, heathen), bacon, waffles, big thick cuts of toasted french bread with butter/jam & a side of hollandaise sauce to dip whatever I want in. If I could eat that every day I would.

I fuckin' love everything about breakfast except the time of day it's traditional served.

I love this idea.

I actually try not to eat breakfast from force of habit--before I found out I had Celiac I would have cereal or toast in the morning, and it, of course, always disagreed with me. So I assumed that breakfast was clearly something my stomach can't handle.

But! When I do eat breakfast, I love having a good omelet with some caramelized onions, maybe a few pieces of steak, a bit of salsa for some kick and freshness, topped with some form of cheese. I also love having all forms of bacon for breakfast :D

When I want to punish myself, my absolute favorite thing to eat, ever, is french toast. Made with brioche or sourdough bread. With breakfast sausage and maple syrup. Hnnnngh. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

I love porridge for breakfast. I love to make it with frozen berries or banana, sometimes letting chocolate melt into it. I typically make it with hot water and add some kind of plant milk to it. I also like some chiaseeds with it. Also chopped apple and cinnamon. Mmmm.

Typically i eat it as my first meal in the day, that can be whenever i am feeling hungry, i don't stick to a certain time.

I love breakfast. Somewhere I picked up the saying "Eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a Prince and dinner like a peasant."
I usually have to have coffee and wake up for a couple hours before I can eat. My current everyday brekkies is just a couple scrambled eggs and toast (real butter, thanks) but as anyone who follows me on Twitter or Snapchat knows I went on a pancake bender a couple weeks ago.

your pancakes looked delicious, sir! They almost made me order pancakes last time I had brunch out. Diabolical.

It's always at least an hour or two after I wake up before I eat anything. Partly because I have meds that need to be taken on an empty stomach. I don't do coffee, but I'll usually have a cup of tea while I check my email and such. I don't know if I should have anything but water with my pills, but TOO BAD.

The best breakfast is leftover pizza/Chinese/Mexican etc. Failing that, usually I'd just have something like cottage cheese and some V8. I'm also a fan of Heinz beans on toast with cheddar and some runny eggs. I dislike most bready breakfast foods (boo pancakes, boo waffles, don't usually want a heavy bagel in the morning, could *possibly* tolerate a muffin). I don't feel the need to stick to "breakfast foods", though. I ate spaghetti for breakfast quite a few times last month. Anyway, half of the time I don't wake up until afternoon or evening. I haven't had breakfast yet today. I'm thinking kimchi fried rice. Or Spanish rice. Some kind of rice. My brain just says that's the correct thing to do today.

What is your everyday breakfast? - Not partial to breakfast on weekdays as I get up too early to stomach food, but always includes a large Energy Drink (partial to Ultra Zero Monster) in lieu of coffee because coffee is gross.

When do you eat breakfast? First thing? Later in the morning? Skip it? - Skip it, but on the weekends it's usually more like brunch based on the time I wake up.

What is your favorite special breakfast? - Pastina with Egg and Cheese

What about 2nd breakfast and Elevenses? - I do snack at work around the time of those, but it's usually a snack like teriyaki beef jerky or sour cream and onion chips or just a few handfuls of peanuts.

I don't usually eat breakfast, but, if I get motivated or feel I need something I will blend a bunch of ice, fruits (apples, bananas, blue berries, raspberries) and add in some protein powder and hemp stuff with some soymilk (and I also throw in my coffee too). If I can get it thick enough to seem like a McDonald's shake I am in heaven. If not, it is still great and I suck it thru the straw non-stop (I can not stop sucking---it is soooo good--sounds weird but I love it). Regular food makes me sleepy.

I don't have much of a breakfast on weekdays, I usually just grab a banana or eat some crackers and berries at my desk. I'd love to get into the habit of being up early enough to scramble some eggs.

My favourite breakfasts are eggs Benedict with a side of fried potatoes, crispy bacon, and melon. Or huevos rancheros! Or any kind of skillet with eggs, potatoes, chorizo, peppers, onions, and cheese. Mmmmmm.

What is your everyday breakfast?
- Not quite every day. But, often enough is my primary breakfast is a large Monster Zero-Carb with either two egg McMuffins, two Sausage McMuffins with egg, or three breakfast burritos. Trying to break myself of this habit. But, it's been a staple for so many years...
Otherwise, it's a loaded protein shake.

When do you eat breakfast? First thing? Later in the morning? Skip it?
- Later in the morning. I'm usually up at 0400, then won't eat until about 0800.

What is your favorite special breakfast?
- Omellete. Or, french toast (no butter just syrup), two eggs sunny side up and sausage links or patties.

What about 2nd breakfast and Elevenses?
- Nope. Trying to watch my girlish figure.

What is your everyday breakfast?
Definitely two cups of coffee (preferably cold brew, maybe a splash of almond milk in there) in the morning/early afternoon. When I do have bfast, I like to have some berries and cottage cheese, eggs (scram or fried mmm), bacon or sausage... Simple things.

When do you eat breakfast? First thing? Later in the morning? Skip it?
- I've been trying to be better about eating within like, two hours of waking up. By then I've had some coffee, and I need to eat to take my supplements comfortably. I used to be a chronic skipper.

What is your favorite special breakfast?
- Eggs benny is my go-to most of the time if I go out for breakfast. Or whatever the brunch special is at my brunch spot if it's Sunday.

What about 2nd breakfast and Elevenses?
- Nah I only get to first breakfast about half the time, so second is out of the question. :haha:

I skip breakfast 99% of the time, since there isn't much of anything that I want.

I'll have "breakfast food" anytime it sounds good. I don't really have a regular breakfast as such. I enjoy biscuits and gravy, or poached eggs and toast, or scrambled eggs with bacon, or even a fried egg and toast (or an egg sandwich).
Egg and sausage on an english muffin is good as well.
Thanks for this thread Zen, it's 3 pm and now I'm going to go make ham and eggs for lunch.

I love breakfast. As far as the foods that are traditionally associated with it, I think it's my favorite meal category. I'll eat just about anything considered "breakfast food", but I try to go for stuff that's high in protein and fiber, since that's the stuff that keeps you feeling full and energetic long into the day. But I mix it up, and I'll have light breakfasts or heavy breakfasts. I love fruit and toast and most cereals. I don't really drink much coffee, but I do like a nice black tea. Just about the only "breakfast" thing I tend to skip is the stuff that's pure sugar, like donuts and pastries, since I'm not fond of midday sugar crashes. I'll save those for dessert at the end of the day.

I used to be like a lot of folks in this thread, and avoid breakfast, but over the years, that has changed. Eating breakfast is a great way for me to wake up. It helps me start the day off productive and in a good mood. I rarely skip breakfast these days, and I feel healthier for it.

My favorite heavy breakfast is a nice omelette, biscuits with real sausage gravy, and bacon. My favorite standard breakfast is a whole cereal, like oatmeal, granola, or muesli, or, if I'm feeling the need for extra protein, I'll have an egg sandwich. My favorite light breakfast is some whole wheat toast and a piece of fruit.

I almost always eat breakfast, unless I'm getting up early for something and don't have time or I slept in so late I go straight to lunch. I get real grumpy when I'm hungry so it's usually not a good idea for me to skip haha. It's usually the first thing I do in the morning after taking out and feeding my dogs.
During the colder months I usually have some kind of oatmeal (either with banana/peanut butter/chocolate chips or cranberries/maple syrup). Lately it's been smoothies or a strawberry spinach salad. I try to avoid cold cereal cuz those tend to be pretty sugary and don't keep me full for very long but I've been eating my fare share of that stuff lately too hahah.
A couple weeks ago I tried making vegan blueberry muffins for breakfast and they pretty much exploded in my oven. It was a sad day.

On an average day I've eaten the same thing every morning for the last decade. 6 eggs, 4 pieces of toast and two glasses of water. If I'm not dieting hard I'll eat 2 egg and cheese bagels instead of the toast and 2 bowls of lucky charms.

I am nocturnal but I love smoked salmon and cheese (like brie or horseradish cheese) or going out to grab oysters or sushi when I wake up and am capable of human function. Close seconds are eggs sunny side up. I have a huge thing for rare/raw meats.

What is your everyday breakfast? Sausage egg and cheese bagel and a Starbucks energy drink cause I'm too boogie for Monster

When do you eat breakfast? First thing? Later in the morning? Skip it? I get to my office job and avail myself of the convenience store that they told us was going to be a full cafeteria before we moved to this building, lying bastards! It just so happens that "breakfast time" for me is noonish, when everyone is having lunch. I woke up at 11, this is breakfast, and also, it's morning to me until 4pm. :p

What is your favorite special breakfast? Biscuits and gravy with sausage. Fuck me UP.

What about 2nd breakfast and Elevenses? Back when I was new to working the night shift (and started at 1:30 instead of 12:30), I would wake up around 8 or 9, have one breakfast, then have a second breakfast either right before leaving for work, or once I arrived. But as I've adapted to my vampire schedule and roll out of bed in juuust enough time to get to work, I no longer eat like hobbitses. But I do have a snack a couple hours after breakfast.

I rarely ever eat breakfast breakfast. I'm nocturnal as well, so I sleep until the afternoon/evening. But even after I wake up, my body doesn't really get hungry for a while. I'll grab a cup of coffee and that's about it. After a few hours, I can handle a snack and I'll have a banana or a handful of fruit or a few spoonfuls of greek yogurt with honey and another handful of hours after that, I'll finally be ready for a full breakfast/lunch/whatevah meal of the day.

Favorite breakfast foods? This is tricky for me. I'm a vegetarian who can't eat eggs, so that takes out almost every awesome breakfast food. French toast used to be my fave, and sometimes, I'll still steal a few bites of that syrup-soaked deliciousness, but anything more than that is risky! So now, greek yogurt is probably my fave breakfast food, though sometimes I like toast covered with peanut butter and honey. Or sliced apples dipped in peanut butter. Yum yum yum.

I have nightmare memories from serving breakfasts as a waiter. Imagine a dormant city on the weekend and all of a sudden like in a zombie film, a herd that eats everything in its way is stampeding over the restaurant...Breakfast? I'll have a Vodka Tonic, thank you :)

For a long time, I'd just make crepes and earl grey an hour or so after waking up. Now that I've started exercising as soon as I wake up, I have a pre-breakfast banana and eat a bigger breakfast when I'm done. I've been trying to eat less sugar, so now I make breakfast bowls after exercising. It's become more like brunch: hash browns + cheese + meat (if available) + avocado + runny sunny side up egg.

My favorite sweet special breakfast is stuffed french toast with some kind of creamy cheese filling and fruit. As for savory, I'm an eggs Benedict type of girl.

As for second breakfast and elevenses, please see above for my pre-breakfast/brunch routine.

I also really need to go grocery shopping, so today may be a cold pizza morning. . .
