Body hair and camming

I've been interested in starting camming in a while and have been researching it for a few weeks. The one question I have that hasn't really been answered revolves around my body hair. I don't shave my legs, pits or pubes and don't plan on starting again as it's so time-consuming and I feel odd without it now. I'm mostly of Greek/Italian descent so it's definitely noticeable. I've browsed MFC a couple times and only seen one model with pit hair. I've had a few people tell me that they find body hair enormously sexy, but more often people get grossed-out and a few times I've received nasty comments--almost as if they found it personally offensive. I guess my question is, do you folks think I'll be less successful because of it or am I naive in thinking there's some kind of niche for scary hairy larrys like myself?

The internet is a huge place and there's a spot out there for any niche. I personally think it's harder to rock a niche-type category on MFC, but it's definitely not impossible. You'll probably have an easier time attracting a niche crowd on Streamate, though and if neither of those work, there are tons of 'hairy' categories on Clips4Sale.

i don't shave and surprisingly, i don't really get any mean comments about it!! of course once in a while someone'll try but usually people just tell me it's refreshing or they don't care either way. i don't think it makes that much of a difference on mfc. however, on the other site i cam on (streamate) there are TONS of dudes with body hair fetishes who take me private, so there's definitely a big niche for it over there!
you're right about mfc not having many hairy girls though... i'm not sure why but mfc specifically has a serious lack of hairiness! even just bushes seem to be pretty rare. i guess you could look at it a different way and say that it makes you stand out from the crowd without even having to try haha

There are many successful models on MFC who don't shave at all. They tend to attract a strong following within their niche because they tend to stand out in the sea of hairlessness that is MFC. Make sure to have "hairy" and "bush" etc. in your tags so interested men can find you!

Yes, you will get nasty comments from some guys. But so does everyone. The trolls will always find something.

I have only cammed on Chaturbate thus far, but I have a huge bush... and people LOVE it. I was really worried about it too before my first cam show. I'm happy to report it has been a hit- which makes me very happy, because I have always preferred to have a bush.

I have only had one member say something rude about it--- he called it "Gross"... and then continued to complain about it. I told him there are plenty of lovely girls without a bush, so he should leave and find them. He did. Quick and easy fix!

I rarely shave my legs - like, maybe 5 times a year at most? I don't think anyone would ever notice, except that I occasionally mention it on cam (thigh high socks are also a huge favorite of mine, so most of the time my legs are covered).

You should include "hairy" in your model tags. That's a great way to bring the right tippers into your room!

If anyone makes stupid comments, I am always quick to point out that body hair is natural / if they're not mature enough to see past pubic hair, they definitely aren't mature enough to get any pussy!

I meant to include in my last post that a lot of folks have asked me if I shave my armpits, and are disappointed when I say that I do shave. I have yet to be asked about my legs though.

Maybe give Chaturbate a shot first? That way you don't have to be worried about a camscore. That was the advice I received from others here and I am very glad I tried it out. It has been nice not having to focus on a number just yet.

I have honestly had quite a few people get upset with me for not being bushy, on MFC and Chaturbate, so there are definitely fans of body hair out there. I'll be honest though, I only shave my legs every 1-2 weeks - I don't really care if I have hair there or not, but I find it to itch after a while. Same with my pits. I have yet to have anyone complain, so my habits won't change.

You will get banned if you have a male body, even if you are female in spirit. At least, I'm pretty sure that's still the case. It's not because they have anything against trans-women, it's because they market it as a site where the mostly straight-male clientele never have to worry about a surprise penis on their screens. We're not even allowed to have male-bodied partners in the same room with us while we cam.

Yeah, I figured. I think I'll be okay. I have all the required body parts. Sorry for the confusion.

I dooooo identify as queer/trans* but in the MFC world I'll be exploring the feminine portion of my gender/sexuality. I can't even imagine trying to explain everything that I believe in terms of sex and gender every five minutes every day.

Haha, yeah, totally. I stopped shaving for a bunch of political reasons and now I'm just too lazy to shave even if I wanted to and sometimes I do. I don't care about other people's nether region hair (although I looooove hella bush) but I always got kind of freaked out by the site of my own shaved cunt (I fucking hate saying pussy...). It just kind of glares at me like it's cold or something.

Hahaha, I also hate how it looks unshaven (for me). I dig other women's body hair however THEY like to keep it. But I'm totally loving my bush, and others' too.

I started shaving my pits the INSTANT I sprouted a single hair there, so I never even knew what my armpits in their natural state looked like until I stopped shaving last fall. Now I'm like, why did I EVER put myself through that?! Oh yeah, because I was made to believe I had to.

Body hair stubble is 100% more uncomfortable and unsightly, IMO, than hair au naturel.

I definitely feel more confident with my partner now, but I'm wondering if that will translate to being on cam as well. I think I'm just gonna go for it—like you said, it's an excellent dipshit filter!

I tested out my cam a minute ago and I totally don't have to shave my mustache..

I'd definitely never shave my pits again, I get the woooorst razor burn and it's itchy and gross and no fun. I remember thinking as a kid that women lose their leg hair as they age and that it was sad and not something to talk about (I was homeschooled..). It didn't occur to me that anyone other than dudes who needed to get 9-5ers would shave anything. When my mom announced it was time to start shaving, I absolutely refused for a couple years and caved only when she convinced me I would be mortified to be seen in public. And this is how my parents ruined my life, whine.
