Hi I was just wondering how many Metal Heads we have here and what genres (death, black etc.)

Yep, metalhead here. Mostly into symphonic black or death and goth metal. Fleshgod apocalypse, septic flesh, dimmu, satyricon, moonspell etc.

I do love thrash a lot, and - not gonna lie I do love some power metal.

I love metal... my favorite bands/artists are Children of Bodom, Necrophagist, and Gorguts... I've seen Children of Bodom, King Diamond, and Gorguts live ... I don't really have a favorite type of metal just like I don't really have a favorite type of music because whenever I'm listening to a song I feel like it is the best song ever but after it's over I can be somewhat objective.

King Diamond counted as metal? but that voice. I always thought it was just rock.

Not metal but TOOL is the only band I listen to and play during my shows, I can't get into any other music after getting into tool, music seems so fake and lacking real substance or meaning.

I am terrible at subgenres so I just describe my music taste as "rock and metal." But good to see there's a load of other people with similar tastes.
