I think I may already know the answer to this but I want to ask.

Are BRB screens (for OBS) allowed in CB? I suspect not but I've seen conflicting views and also, the prevalence of them makes me doubt my understanding. Anyone know the whole truth and nothing but the truth on this one?

Good question. Yesterday I saw a model leave a BRB video loop playing for over 1 and 1/2 hrs. Crazy

Yes BRB screens are allowed.

Here's the fun part...you can't have a brb screen up for longer than you have been on cam.

You can't go on a 20 minute break after being on for 5 minutes.

On for an hour? 20 minutes is fine and no longer than that or warnings may be sent.

I've forgotten it was up and got a warning once. Oops.

It is not time for CB to do the same. BRB screens are incredibly helpful to models.

Edit: One of my favorite BRB memories is throwing up the scene while some blowhard was bloviating and he typed and hit send: "oh shit, she's a professional!!"

Mine just has a BRB on it. No time frames or anything like that.

Have her send you a picture of herself she really likes and use that.

Sadly some people get away with it. Most don't. It's the same theory as your friends jumping off a cliff, would you?

Thanks for all of that. I have a further question. In your experience do guys just bounce when they see the BRB or do they hang around. I'm trying to work out whether an empty room is more enticing because they enter it in the hope she will be back any second. I mean, ultimately the same could be true of a room with a BRB sign so I'm not sure, which is why I'm asking. At the moment I see guys come in and sit in the room. The may leave in 10 mins if she's not back but I don't see a huge increase in guys bouncing immediately in comparison to any other part of the broadcast.

Here's how I think of it, better to see a sign on the door saying I've stepped away than for someone to come in and analyze an empty room's aesthetic.

Since the BRB image is the person broadcasting they'll be more likely to stay or come back when it's taken down. Even if it's just to see if the book jacket matches the contents, okay that's a silly comparison but you know what I mean I think.

I should probably also disclaim that if people aren't tipping me, I'm not paying attention to chat anyway. I'm either here or elsewhere on the internet learning stuff. And when I do put the BRB up, I'm not in the room at all. I've gone to smoke or pee or just wander around the house.

5 minutes after asking that question, and while making a cup of tea, I realised that I was asking the one person who wasn't actually in the room
