As far as I know this totally goes against the TOS and is considered gaming/falsifying room activity. I will email support with my question but this is really, really shady.

There's a similar function on MFC for MFCAlerts bot, I wonder if this works the same way that it only goes through the app/bot and doesn't hit the chat room itself. I use that often to check the placement of the on-screen (OBS) animations that happen for certain amount tips there and I don't recall it hitting the chat at all. Maybe this works via the same functionality.

In my head I'm seeing a somewhat naive cam girl thinking that because it's available as an option that it is in fact okay to do and getting nailed to the bone for spamming her chat with fake tips. Not everyone is going to open the user list to see if that person actually exists in the room and Chaturbate will flag it or a person will flag it. I'm not saying everyone even knows about this. I've done test tips for years and those do not appear in chat but it does appear in the Lovense visual menu as Lovensetestname.

It shows up on the video feedback and the toy responds but nothing appears in chat.

On stripchat in shows in chat as LovenseTestName. As a user, never had an issue with it as the name made it pretty clear it was the models doing. Either testing connections or making dozens of adjustments to the sex machines legs to get it just right.
The fact that you can set a "simulated tipper" name and do it is new to me and shady IMO.

Thank you for the validation. Tonight is the first time I've seen it because I'm being rebellious in NOT buying the Lush4. (Independent reviews are not pretty.) Testing out Lush 3 stuff and I was like "the hell is THIS?"
