The Internet
I'm good enough now to read most sheet music just fine, and can learn a song in a week if I try usually, but I have so much trouble finding new music I'd like.

Um. One of the main problems is that I don't know what my type of music is called. So does anyone know what this would be?

I'd be pleased to find more like it.

Also, I am open to requests or suggestions for songs around this level or a bit higher. However, nothing a weeabo would want to fuck me over. Ew.

I started playing piano when I was six, took a few years of lessons now play as a hobby. These songs I think you might like, its kinda hard to compare with the beautiful song you provided.

These songs might sound complicated, but with some practice they are quite easy, its just all about finding the rhythm. They also help you practice your coordination and keeping both hands separate from each other. Never let a song intimidate you nor should you remain at a certain level. The quickest and smoothest way to learn is to find a song you enjoy and learn it, despite its level.

And this video is the song broken down into a helpful tutorial:

More of the same composer:

It helps to have a visual to walk you through it on occasion to get the timing, there are plenty of tutorial vids on this song as well.

I learned these without sheet music, but it is indeed online for the above song, best found on google. I would find links for you, but I am running a bit late.

Also, I know you are a gamer. I recommend you look into find some sheet music of some good RPG melodies. That is what I end up spending most of my time learning:

Kind of makes me wish I didn't fuck up my wrist so bad. I can barely play anymore, someone might confuse me with an amateur.

Those sound lovely, D0mino.

I contacted the artist after I bought a couple of his songs, (He replied within 12 hours,) he says that they call it "new-age" but he doesn't agree with it. So he kinda feels like it's his own thing. Either way I've always liked songs with rhythm and a growing pattern; I just connect with them more as I play them.

I like your suggestions so I'll look into them when it's time to get more new pieces. Thanks much.

I doubt I'd learn game music. I'm more of an internet-geek than a gamer. But someday I'll surely learn Still Alive from Portal.

Hi Alex
I do play a little when I'm around a piano but my left side isn't coordinated to well to play better. I use to sing in the choir with my mother & it was great that my family was that gifted. Great that I can help you out a little this time. There are so many things you can do Alex with a piano but it won't come to you overnight but I think you'll be really good once you get going.
