Okay, so this might sound dumb but I have really never used Twitter before. Aside from promoting yourself are there any pages you should follow? I saw someone mention in an older thread that some pages will promote you if you follow them?

This may sound like a no-brainer, but do start with following the site you would like to join (Flirt5free?) and mention them in your tweets. Eventually they will notice you and feature you or re-tweet you.
