Hi everyone
My account was banned last night when I was talking to a model. I can't think of anything in that chat that would get me banned as we were just talking about favourite foods. My username is flyingbadger503375. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've also filled in the CB support request but no response yet.

This happened last night, it's the weekend, and you're already on a third-party forum not directly related to Chaturbate asking for further assistance?! :stop:

Thanks, that's my concern.
The more I think about it, I suspect another user reported me because he was jealous that I was given a long and discounted premium private show. This is not a menu option and the girl offered it to me because we've been chatting on a friendly basis for a few weeks. Of course I took her up on the offer even though I would happily have paid the full rate
Does CB issue an instant ban simply because one user has reported another, even though that report could turn out to be false/baseless/malicious ? If yes, how does the affected user show CB that the report was false/baseless/malicious and is there any comeback from CB against a user that has made false/baseless/malicious reports against another user? Thanks in advance.

Instabans usually come from AI reporting violations or many users reporting a room for violations. Like broadcasting in public for instance. Or saying a banned topic or string of words. Those are almost immediate once the report hits.

Then an investigation begins when the user inquires about the ban.

The last person I reported was banned about three weeks after I submitted the report. CB investigated their chat logs for that user and saw what I reported was true. It was a CYA move on my part. I confirmed the room was banned after receiving a reply from support. Sooo what I'm saying is you genuinely have no idea when or what was reported.

CB isn't going to ban a user because some dickhead was jealous over a private. Any report accusing you of violating laws or terms would be investigated before a ban was handed down.

Never forget CB is in the business of making money and you are the product. They want as many of you and as many of us (models) as they can get.

Edit to add: I have also reported users and CB deemed my report unnecessary or false. (Even though I disagree with that assessment.)

OK, thanks. That's very helpful. Are the chat logs just the public chat in the room or do they include private chats both in the room and in private shows?

Private shows, public shows, password shows, tip notes and DM. Big Brother sees all. ;) And you're welcome.

Oh also, sending multiple emails just shoves you back down to the bottom of the queue. So don't that. :)

OK, thanks. I'm still none the wiser with why I've been banned and I won't send multiple emails!

If, say, AI has picked up something it doesn't like, is that the end or does CB genuinely investigate when a user questions their ban?

What's a reasonable time to expect a response from CB Support?

Well that kind of depends on what the violation is and bans can be punitive. As in they'll wait X amount of days before lifting a ban.

Some people don't know that talking about drug use past present or future is a violation. But if it's acknowledged and one promises to never do it again, the ban is overturned.

But if someone was talking about underage activities, that's almost always permanent and not up for discussion at all.

It's really hard to say because it could literally be anything.

OK, thanks. I really appreciate the help. Honestly, the only thing I can possibly think of is that when I first joined I asked a girl whether she was on any other platforms and named OF. She said she wasn't and I went on to join her fan club. I can't think of anything else.

That wouldn't do it, OF is allowed and she would be the one in trouble, not you. :)

The fastest response time is 24 hours, the longest was 17 days for me to get an answer. I've received responses at 4 AM on a weekend and 11 AM on a weekday, just depends on how fast they work their queue which is huge.

Usually admitting fault does the trick.

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions and I'll stop bugging you now. Unless I'm wildly out, any transgression should be minor. You've really reassured me so I guess it's just a waiting game. Thanks again.

You're very welcome. I know how frustrating it can be and how the mind spirals so quickly trying to figure it out.

Guess for now you can lurk anonymously, maybe find someone new to play with when it is lifted. Just talking to you here, I can't imagine it's all that scandalous. You're nice.

Very kind of you to say so and your help is much appreciated. I don't think I've done anything that wrong, whatever it is, but maybe i was too enthusiastic when i first joined. Presumably when it's lifted I can go back to the rooms I was in previously as though I was never banned. There's a particular girl in a room who will be wondering where on earth I've gone since Friday/Saturday morning and I'd like to get back to her too! Thanks again for your help
