Hello,
first off, I'd like to say that I've love this forum - it has proven to be soooo helpful (although I am somewhat drowning in infromation)! Which is partially what inspires this post... I'm going to try my best to stay away from questions that have already been answered a million times, but if I don't, please forgive me!
So I'm brand new to being a camgirl - well 2 weeks new actually. But I've just been playing around on webcammodels . com for a bit, trying out what works for me and what i'm comfortable with. I signed up with Internetmodeling - not realizing that they're an agency and agencies in general should be avoided.... I just figured that's the way things were done online! I tried looking up reviews for them and hadnt come across any negative deal breakers at the time... i just wonder why I hadn't read about staying away from agencies and staying independent... They paired me up with Streammate and I did my first cam session last night. I was in private chat for 48% of my time online... not too bad for a first timer I think! (at least to me anyway! my expectations are not all that high lol) BUT, as pointed out, I feel like I'm getting ripped off on that time payment.
Soooo.... I plan on breaking my contract with IM, and after having read over it again today, I don't see anywhere in there that states I am exclusive to them and only them for the term of a year ... or that I can't work independent with SM for a year either.... Im hoping I didnt miss anything.
Annnyway ( sorry I'm doing the first post ramble.....) I've created my MFC account but haven't finished my profile... mainly because the whole site intimidates the hell out of me. Actually, the contract is quite intimidating.... its been the only one I've come across so far that uses the term "entire universe" (paraphrase) to describe their rights over me and "my likeness". As in if people ever inhabit Mars, they'd have the right to distribute my content there too? lol Does anyone have any concerns over the legalities of contracts they've signed on any sites?
Honestly, MFC just seems so busy to me - and the first 2 weeks seem crucial to making it or breaking it, and I've just been kind of shying away from it for now...But since I'm breaking my contract with IM, and I've gotten more comfortable with myself, I'm looking at getting into MFC real soon... I just need to read more and decide what kinds of things I want to do in private, shows, etc...
One of my questions is, how many of you work on multiple sites? Are there any sites that don't allow that?
Thanks for reading
