Unfortunately, this is the downside to having an app store that has little regulation. People complain about Apple's "walled garden" approach, and how it can stifle creativity, and exclude apps they don't agree with. However, it also creates peace of mind that pretty much everything on there works, and isn't full of malware. Both sides are have advantages and disadvantages, but this is a pretty major disadvantage of the Google approach.
