All those features and they couldn't be bothered to build a holding page beyond two paragraphs and some horrendous AI generated art. I smell shite.
Thank you for your candid feedback—it pushed us to do better! We’ve updated the landing page to reflect your concerns with more polished visuals and detailed content. We truly appreciate your input and invite you to check it out: https://sugarcribs.com/go. Your honesty helps us improve!

It's still shite. Just lon

I didn't see what the original landing page looked like, but their current one looks fine for a site that hasn't fully launched yet. Calling it "shite" is so unnecessarily rude and unhelpful, especially when they took your original, also kinda rude, comment to heart and changed it.

__

Honestly, this site gets points with me just for their rep's responses on this thread. Willing to take negative feedback and responding helpfully and positively is not something we've seen every rep coming here promoting their site do. There's been sites promoted here illegally using model's imagery without their consent, offering only PayPal for payouts, reps attacking members on the forum when they get asked tough questions or get harsh feedback, etc. AI art is much better than using model stock photos on a porn site without their consent. CCBill is a well known payment processor in the adult industry (I think OF and CB still uses them?).

My biggest question would be, what would content restrictions look like? I think CCBill is pretty strict when it comes to what kind of content they do and don't allow. Any creator who does more niche content knows just how many restrictions we've had on our content within the last couple years. I'd be interested to see what categories/types of content are and aren't allowed.

Sometimes you have to be unnecessarily harsh. They added an extra paragraph based on my "feedback".

This is a guy (and I doubt there are more than a few people involved here) who is asking you to trust them with your bank details, personal information etc etc yet can't be arsed putting together a decent looking splash page. It's like something that comes free with a Wordpress template. And if they can't stretch financially to some decent photos then can you be sure they'll still be around by the time you come to cash in your first month's tokens? I mean, an AI generated image seems lazy. I'm not a model but I imagine the first thing you look for is a site to be trustworthy and secure.

And I won't go into the nuances in terms of the lack of malicious intent in the word "shite" as opposed to "shit". @MarieElise will get it though.

Yes, I was a bit strong, but there's no use being gentle at a point in the project where there is still time to quickly iterate and make things better.

Sounds like your heart is in the right place. They have big cultural differences in the use of language here, especially cuss words. They take them more seriously than we fucking do . So, yeah, I know what you mean there .

Honestly no point getting into it here, in this context. Unnecessary drama. Next time just don't bother yourself trying to help out. You have more specialist knowledge anyways. Don't give it out for free, is my advice. Unless it's in an interaction with someone you already know and have a personal rapport with. Everyone else here will do it. It's not like there's a shortage of people wanting to help in these threads.

There's a difference between being harsh yet constructive and just being flat out rude. Your comment fell in the latter category.

I've been in this industry as a cammer then as a content creator for over seven years. You don't need to explain to me the importance of not blindly trusting new sites, because I'm sure I've seen way more come and go as someone who pays their bills from content sales than you as a member has.

They're clearly not fully up and running yet. If you click on the waitlist option, you're just signing up for an email newsletter. If they were to the point where they were actually having models sign up with their personal information and it still looked just like that and there was no TOS or privacy notice on their site, yeah, that'd be a problem. But, that's not the case.

Sounds like your heart is in the right place. They have big cultural differences in the use of language here, especially cuss words. They take them more seriously than we fucking do . So, yeah, I know what you mean there .

I'm sorry, but I didn't see it as his "heart being in the right place" or "helping out". Helpful is "it doesn't look like much work was put into the landing page, that is something that may not instill a lot of confidence in models looking to signup for your site", not "it looks like shite". It has nothing to do with having delicate sensibilities towards curse words.

That's neither what I said nor what I meant to imply at all. I am very busy today, and kinda wish I was never even summoned to this. Petty. You have every right to see this however you will. I said all I have to, or am interested in saying, and even that kinda sucked (as an experience) tbh. Clearly Amber agrees with you, so its a non issue anyways, since it's her forum and she's the final judgment call on these things here. Now if you'll excuse me, I really am SO fucking busy today! 🤍 And now I wish I never would have even taken 5 mins to check in here.

It is definitely a positive step when people come here and take feedback well, and make changes. That is notable and positive for sure. But I will say, the bar is already extremely low, as far as these new startups and their first few posts here go... But yes, someone who takes constructive feedback well, and implements changes is leaps and bounds ahead of the average/ rest. I do not agree with you on Misterical, but that's not really a topic to get into in this place, and at this time. Nor is it relevant, given Amber already agrees with you.

Fair enough. I'm not sure why you were summoned here either. It feels like Misterical was trying to stir the pot by tagging you over semantics, I'm guessing in an attempt to win brownie points? Weird behaviour on his part.

Anyway, I have no issues at all with you, we've always gotten along well (imo) and I appreciate you, so I don't want dumb petty drama between us. I hope your day goes well and that it isn't too hectic!

On a side note: The reason why I called out the rude post in this thread is the same reason why I've called out rude, unhelpful posts in the past. It's because, how do we expect to have new people, whether it be site reps, models or members, want to contribute positively to the forum if they immediately get shit on by long time forum members the moment they post? There was another thread somewhat recently started by a model where a forum member was super rude straight out the gate when, in my opinion, it was totally uncalled for.

I wasn't tagging her to win brownie points. It was a nationality thing. And sorry @MarieElise I didn't mean to do the whole fairy godmother thing and bring you into this hell beyond an appreciation for the word shite. It's so rarely used in comparison to shit that I thought you would appreciate it.

Let me start again though and be more constructive.

  • The current landing page looks amateurish. AI art looks like they are too cheap to commission real photos or pay for stock photos at the very least. When corners are being cut at this stage of a project, for me it rings alarm bells.
  • The logo on the landing page is tiny. Surely this should be the biggest thing on the page? In fact, the AI generated image is tiny too.
  • There is a ridiculous amount of whitespace, yet the content is squeezed into a narrow column in the centre of the page. The heading (in ginormous text which is for some reason bigger than the logo) stretches to 5 lines. If they knew anything about creating readable content then they'd know not to do that.
  • This is not an engaging design. It reeks of a page thrown together in a hurry. The most important thing this page needs to do is lure people to their site by signing up for early access. This doesn't scream class or quality at me at all. It feels like one of those sites where you have to parallax scroll for about 2 hours only to reach the bottom and find an email signup for your "free guide to trading in crypto".
  • I like minimalist design but there's a very fine line between minimalism and lazy design/absence of content.

It's a US cultural thing, in general. And probably more cultures too for all I know. I had to tone it down a TON when I moved here, and I often catch myself slipping and forgetting that they use cuss words very seriously here. Best probably just to try to keep that in mind. Being misunderstood sucks, so when in Rome... If you start your own flippant swearaholics forum, I'll totally fucking join that cunt though 🥳🥳 😆

Semantics aside, it was still an obviously rude post. Kudos to you actually posting constructive feedback this time, though.

It's weird how you guys are just making me out to be some prude-ish American who doesn't understand the word shite or can't take cursing, when you could have used literally any other word and I still would have had the same response. I dunno man, the forum has become very volatile lately, which is why I haven't been posting as much. I didn't insult either of you, just said I thought it was rude, especially when the rep was very polite. And now you're both kind of subposting talking down about me? Like, okay.

I really appreciate this forum and how much it has helped me over the years. And I appreciate Amber and everything she does here and for this community/industry, which is why I've still been trying to contribute. Maybe everyone is on edge with the current world events or something, I dunno. But, it just seems like the general atmosphere here has been really negative. I'm just going to restrain from posting, because as with everyone else, I don't need any extra negativity in my life.

Hope you all have a good day.

I hope you have a good day too. I'm curious as to where you felt I was making you out to be a prudish American though. I was pointing out the weird quirks in the way my people speak rather than having a dig at you.

It genuinely upsets me that you think this, and was never my intention with any of my posts in this thread. I was trying to gently tell Misterical that he should probably tone down the bad words, because it gets misunderstood, in general. But I was trying to do it in a warm way, because I like the guy.
. I dunno man, the forum has become very volatile lately, which is why I haven't been posting as much.
A lot of people have a lot of extra stress this time of year, and are very tense. Your posts are more often than not very informative and well thought out, so my personal hope would be that you feel comfy again soon, and I apologize for any clumsy wording or actions I did that have contributed to this, because I genuinely like and respect you a lot. Love reading your takes.
And now you're both kind of subposting talking down about me? Like, okay.
I really swear I didn't intend it to come off this way. I felt like I should be honest about stuff, and try to make a comment to help out, since it is a huge cultural difference (and I was tagged). I was also late for picking my Mom up at the airport (at that time), and kinda trying to juggle too much. I was running between my laptop and my phone, trying to make sure I hadn't completely arsed the quote feature, and was actually using spaces between words, before the 15 mins ran out. It was intense! I feel bad to leave you with this impression, and I'm really sorry about that. I honestly never meant it to sound that way at all, I would never think of you as prudish. You are one of the most creative, intelligent, and fun people I've ever met, judging by what I know of you from this context. Seriously. I am sorry if I worded and timed things in a clumsy way, I do struggle with that in general. I'm also sorry that instead of helping out, it looks like I made things worse. I genuinely am. Now I'm going to be quiet, but hopefully you sense the honesty in my response here. I would not have shut up, and waited to take the time for a more thoughtful response to you, if I didn't respect and hold a positive opinion of you. Again, I am very sorry for in any way creating the impression that I think or thought this way (prudish etc) of you. I only apologize when I genuinely do mean it.

Like MarieElise, if you took it that way then I'm sorry because that was never my intention. The only thing I was talking down a bit was the landing page design for SugarCribs.

Personal abuse is not really my style on here. I've been on the receiving end of it a few times on here, admittedly deservedly on some occasions, but giving it out to other people doesn't sit easy with me. If it's any consolation, I think your posts are always informative and contribute to making this forum a better place.

Hey Marceline,

First off, thanks for your thoughtful and measured approach in this thread—it’s refreshing. To answer your question about content restrictions on Sugar Cribs, here’s the deal:

We’re all about creating a space that is empowering for creators while keeping things above board. The rules exist to ensure Sugar Cribs is a safe, inclusive, and legally compliant platform. Here’s a quick breakdown of the no-go zones:

  1. Illegal or Harmful Content: Anything that breaches laws or promotes harm is a hard no.
  2. Intellectual Property Infringement: Your content must be yours—no borrowing without permission.
  3. Impersonation or Misrepresentation: Authenticity is key; no catfishing or fake affiliations allowed.
  4. Disruption or Unauthorized Access: Respect the digital space—no hacking, scraping, or network shenanigans.
  5. Unapproved Commercial Activities: Keep it kosher—any monetization outside our terms needs prior approval.

As for niche content, we’re working within the boundaries set by CCBill, a well-regarded processor in the adult industry, known for their stringent but fair policies. Creators can expect transparency, and we’ll provide a detailed breakdown of what’s allowed during the onboarding process.

Ultimately, our goal is to help creators thrive without the rug getting pulled out from under them due to shady practices or unclear rules. If your niche is legal, consensual, and respects these boundaries, you’ll feel right at home.

Thanks for the interest—it’s creators like you that inspire us to build something lasting and creator-first. If you’ve got more questions, shoot them my way!

Hi everyone,

First off, thanks again for all the feedback you shared earlier in this thread—it really pushed us to step up our game! We’ve made some changes to the landing page based on your suggestions, and I’d love to hear your thoughts now that we’ve improved things.

Here’s what we updated:

• Streamlined Design: The layout is cleaner, with better use of space and a more engaging look.
• Logo Size: We heard you—our logo now takes center stage!
• AI Artwork: We’ve swapped it out for something more polished and aligned with the Sugar Cribs vibe.
• Improved Content Flow: The messaging is clearer, with a sharper focus on what Sugar Cribs offers creators.

You can check it out here: https://sugarcribs.com/go

We’re still in pre-launch mode, so any feedback you have would mean the world. Whether it’s the visuals, layout, or messaging—let us know what resonates and what might need more tweaking.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts—good, bad, or in-between. Let’s make this the best platform for creators together!

You're either trolling us or you've not put it live successfully because it doesn't look any different.

Thanks for checking it out! It sounds like the updated version may not be showing up for you yet—try clearing your cache or refreshing the page. If you’re still seeing the old version, let me know so I can look into it. We definitely made changes based on the feedback here and want to make sure they’re visible!
