    I just use surface agitation from my filter for that. I also have only a few very tiny fish so they don't use too much O2. Do you do low-mid tech heavily planted? That's what I'm going for but I need more plants!

    Hmm, actually when I started this and looked for planted tank info I don't remember anyone suggesting an aerator. I thought that was for fish. Would an aerator make them grow faster? I dose with liquid CO2 and use root tabs.

    Mine is a 10gal planted! I have a lot of stupid snails and 5 pygmy corys. It usually looks better but I ripped everything out and redid it recently, so it has to grow in again. The roots on either side are pothos.
