I've heard the stories of people getting hit by cars or crashing into poles and I want to say I'm shocked at the level of stupidity, but really it's not even remotely surprising. Banning the game wouldn't fix it, the people stupid enough...

    I don't really consider it cheating, it's more annoying than anything else if you've spent a good chunk of time taking a gym down. Its pretty cool though if it happens with someone from the same team and their pokemon is was stronger than any I have.

    This works, if anyone had doubts. Mr. Knight got a jolteon that way last night, once I have enough Eevee candies I'm gonna try it for a vaporeon, it's the only eeveelution I still need.

    Some phones just don't work with the AR right now because they don't have built in gyroscopes. From what I've heard they are trying to fix it, but it could be a while.

    You get 50xp everytime you hit a pokestop, so you must have been really close to leveling up, typically they give pokeballs, potions, and eggs on occasion. Oh and you can hit the same one every 5 minutes.

    The last I heard there were no servers in most parts of Asia yet, but the official release is supposed to be the 27th of this month so that will probably change before you travel too much. As far as I can tell though it's based on the area you're in (beach vs. the middle of a field type thing)...

    Found a great place to collect magikarp, but the server kept going down and then my phone died :( it's too far to walk there so I have to wait till our friends go again but I will evolve one into a gyarados if it's the last thing I ever do.

    I have the same phone and according to some stuff I've read they're aware of the issue and are working on finding a way to fix it. I really hope they do, then again it's apparently way easier to catch them without it according to a coworker who can actually use the AR.

    As of right now there is no real advantage, it's just a way to divide the players for the gyms. Who knows if that will change as they update the game though. Also, just found out they are going to allow us to trade pokemon between players hopefully within the first few updates.

    All my vanilla job coworkers and I are team mystic and right now we're holding down the nearby gym with 2 flareon, a vaporeon, and my jolteon. Feels pretty bad ass holding down a gym with all the available eeveelutions.

    Must have just been luck for me then, all my high cp catches have had really nice move stats, so I just assumed that cp and stats had something to do with each other. I will have to start paying more attention to that now though.

    So far the only battling released is gym battles, but I've heard rumor of eventual trainerxtrainer battles once they get the main bugs worked out. Don't take my word for it though, I could be wrong.

    I am a level 5 and my strongest Pokemon right now is a cp225 Fearow. Sadly my phone is one of the types affected by the AR glitch, so I haven't gotten the whole augmented reality experience, but it's a lot of fun even with that turned off. I hope the fix is released in the first patch though...
