To be honest that's why I suggested the tick box approach. Camsoda, XCams etc... both remember your selection through cookies. It's just a much better system overall and benefits everybody. If you look here I have "Girls" and "Couples Girl & Girl" selected for XCams -

As a way of implementing this as well simply by changing the category tabs to tick boxes or similar and you could completely fix this issue.
