Just finished Halo, had it a couple of times on xbox but never got around to finishing it, the ending in the master chief collection is...disappointing, no credits after the last cut scene it just boots you back to the main menu (maybe it's a me thing but I like seeing the credits role after I complete a game, without it, it feels unfinished)

For some reason, I'm really feeling nostalgic for Everquest right now.
I had that feeling a few months ago and was amazed to find out it's still live, never got around to playing it though.

I'm fortunate to have nothing but free time during the holidays, so I have put some hours into it over the last few days. It's certainly scratching an itch, but it's definitely a 25-year-old MMORPG. After spending an evening recovering my login info for my accounts, I got on, and realized I hadn't been on an official live server in ten years! I remember why I stopped then; it's so overwhelming, and just getting from place to place takes forever. But I'm having some fun doing the holiday season quests, and looking over some quarter-century old inventory. I accidentally drank an antique potion today that was worth 2 million platinum, lol.

Been spoiled bad for Chistmas by the bro, I am playing the first of the four games I received : Alone in the Dark (PS5 disc version). It is not a big budget game but I like the genre, as well as David Harbour actor and the game has a lot of atmosphere so far. Detailed map to see what's left to do is amazing, showing what room still has secrets and those that are done. Good game for now, a few hours in.

I got hooked on an autobattler called The Last Flame. It's super complex and there's a lot of interesting synergies and strategies to discover.

Playing through Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country at the minute. Perfect games for a quick 10 minute pick up and play while encoding videos or waiting for videos to upload. Did get sick of doing the second castle in though (I think it was the second) though, took me like 3 weeks to get past it, and now I'm having the same thing with the next castle, same spot gets me every single time 😂

Thread to ramble about what you have been playing recently. Just started up Halo Reach(current gwg on the 360) and Metro 2033. The weekly 360 sales have been awesome lately so I added a bunch of stuff I'll probably never get to. Prototype, Painkiller, Split/Second and a few others I can't think of. Finished Far Cry 3 finally and loved it, both villains were awesome. Almost done with Forza Horizon and can't fucking wait for part 2, demo for 2 just came out. Did a little bit of the GTAV flight school, finished Cold, Cold Heart in Arkham Origins. Need to get back into Trials Fusion and Titanfall. Still play Rockband 3 a decent amount, was sad when dlc finally ended for it.

So yeah, ramble about your recent gaming experiences.
Man, that’s an awesome lineup! Halo Reach is a classic, and Metro 2033 is such an atmospheric ride. As for me, I’ve been knee-deep in Skyrim again—because apparently, I can never truly escape. Something about wandering through those snowy mountains, Fus-Ro-Dah’ing my problems away, and getting distracted by side quests for the hundredth time just hits different.

I've got so many damn games that I've never even started up, much less played...Thanks, seasonal Steam/GOG/Xbox sales! ugh.

I started playing Dead by Daylight on the recommendation of a twitch friend. It's fun enough. I typically stay in my wheelhouse of DnD (read Baldur's Gate 1-3) or Fallout series. I hated Fallout '76 at release. I haven't revisited it since it's been reworked. I loved Cypberpunk 2077 and cranked through it before the dlc came out. I still need to go back and play it again.

So, tl;dr version: nothing. i am currently playing nothing due to my inability to pick one to start because i am overwhelmed with the choices...

my epic library is like that because epic is like "have a free game every week". I think I have installed and played 1 of them out of 250+ 😂

Have you guys ever heard of this game "cult of the lamb" ? It's an amusing little couch co-op game that's apparently popular in some circles but I hadn't heard about it till this week.

You play as a cute little lamb who gets saved from death by a dark god and has to repay that debt by starting a cult in the god’s name. You run your cult by recruiting followers, building up a village, preaching sermons, and keeping your flock happy (or fearful). To grow your power you also go out on combat runs through randomly generated dungeons to fight enemies and collect loot.

This is right now going on my list of games to buy and hope to play!

The same company that did "it takes two" and "a way out" released a new one called "split fiction" last month but I didn't hear about it till today. I figure maybe some other fans missed the announcement too.

Interesting premise, thanks for sharing! I don't have the right console though. :(

I play a lot of modded Minecraft, but pre-made modpacks are never quite right. They always have too much stuff I don't like, and I always end up adding stuff I think is missing, and then it all becomes an unplayable mess. So, I finally undertook to compile my own set of mods. My first try at it was a disaster, but the second try has turned out to be a lot of fun!
