Any ideas or solutions on how to handle a troublesome user?

@clanzi If your friend doesn't want to turn grey chat off, there are apps with tools to help you stay ahead of the game. Some of these tools include forcing greys to pass CAPTCHAs before they can chat or even muting greys for one minute from when they send their first message. If the apps...

Another malicious app identified: Room Analytics

@punker barbie I wrote to CB Support about this on April 16th and I'm hoping you can tell me if my report is being looked at, please.

Another malicious app identified: Room Analytics

So I want to make sure there's a definitive demonstration that Room Analytics has been allowing ironthrone0 to steal ticket and hidden show content for a significant amount of time. I found that Room Analytics has been on the testbed environment, where developers test their code, for almost two...

Another malicious app identified: Room Analytics

An update on this: ironthrone0 deleted Enchanalytics though copies of it were made by both myself and another developer. He also updated Room Analytics: It's clear that he's trying to cover his tracks, which unfortunately means that he's probably just changed the accounts that are...

Another malicious app identified: Room Analytics

This is not true: the backdoor to add users to limitcam shows (ticket and hidden shows) is possible in both V1 and V2 apps. Here is the output of a full demonstration of this: First, start up the ticket show app. I'm using my SmokerBot: Ticket & Hidden Shows app. I've also started the...

How to deal with malicious CB apps?

Yes, we know your apps are full of bullshit @i0_ol. @AmberCutie you already banhammered this guy once under the username @eagerbeaver so hopefully you will do it again, please.

100%. My ticket and hidden shows components have been doing that for over a year.

Another malicious app identified: Room Analytics

Unfortunately I disagree. There's no obligation or reason for a ticket or hidden show app to remove someone from the access list when they leave the room. Typically all users are just removed when the show ends.

Another malicious app identified: Room Analytics

I've released a new app to help models manage this problem, Limitcam Viewer Checker. It provides two commands to allow models, and their moderators based on app settings, to run a couple of commands to see who has had, or who currently has, limitcam access. These user lists can be compared...

Another malicious app identified: Room Analytics

You're incorrect, I'm afraid. The $limitcam object is a shared resource belonging to the room, not to any app. So any app can access it and, for example, add users to it. I tested this scenario recently when I was asked to investigate another app so it's fresh for me. Ideally -- and other...

Yes, I'm writing a report and also trying to make a case to the CB development team that a mechanism to trigger app reviews is needed when cause can be shown that an app is more than likely doing something in violation of the App Submission Guidelines. @NaomiNSFW The app that was released...

Another malicious app identified: Room Analytics

ironthrone0 is the author of Room Analytics, one of the most widely used apps on CB. This evening the dev portal listed a new app called Enchanalytics by him. He did not hide the source code and it is simply a white-labelled version of Room Analytics. I looked through the code and found that...

One user's tips do not activate tip menu or go toward goal countdown

No, it doesn't require any special handling in V2 apps. DMs were added around the same time as the V2 framework and the events probably weren't retrofitted into the V1 framework because CB has indicated that they want to make V1 legacy.

One user's tips do not activate tip menu or go toward goal countdown

For V1 apps, tips made from the DM panel, i.e., outside the room, do not trigger app/bot events. Even if the user is in the room, ask them if they are tipping from the room controls or the DM panel.

How to deal with malicious CB apps?

I had a nice conversation with him in December, too, but it bothers me that he has denied for years that My New Followers blocks messages but changed something in the app when I gave him evidence that it is blocking messages and then after his change some messages were no longer being blocked...
