When they ask about your job? I get asked this question a lot. Usually in a rude way. Curious about your answers! xo
I don't understand why she would want to tell her son that???Miss_Lollipop said:My children have 4 legs and fur. I don't plan on spawning. My other half cannot have kids anymore, has a daughter thats grown and chances of my actually getting pregnant are slim.
If I had kids, I'd tell them the truth.
My best friend was a hooker for 30 years. She always meant to tell her son at 18. She died when he was 17.
Prostitution is a dangerous thing because of the STD rate. (there are STD's you can get even WITH a condom that are incurable). Was she doing it before it became legal? I don't see why you would be eager to tell your children you are breaking the law and putting your life at risk? Everyone with children has had sex. But do you have to tell your children about your sexual endeavors with their father? No. I think somethings are better left kept to yourself. And there are lines that shouldn't be crossed with a mother/child relationship. Just my opinion.Miss_Lollipop said:I don't understand why she would hide it or cover it up like it was a shameful thing. She loved it, and viewed herself as a sexual healer. She fought to get prostitution legalized in my country, and danced when they finally legalized it. She did not attatch shame, or negativity to it and I believe his father has told him now that he's an adult and that he probably has a much better understanding of the extraordinary life his mother led. Hopefully I'll get to see him in December so I'll have to talk to him about it.

Not like they won't ever see me naked. I'm practically a nudist. I'm nude a lot. I just see nothing wrong with nudity as long as it's not sexual in front of your children. If they asked, I wouldn't lie. i just don't see why they would. I plan on raising my children in a very strict Christian home where internet access is heavily monitored. I also hope they would pick friends that do not view porn underage. Just like I would not discuss my sex life to my children, I would not have to discuss my camming life. They don't need to know everything. But if they were old enough and asked, I would tell them. I am not ashamed of what I do, or I wouldn't do it!
Well, Megan is my actual legal name. Soooo...lolLiciousLily said:PlayboyMegan said:I don't think I'll still be camming when I have children. Those people are wrong when they say googling your name will bring up naked pictures. We have alias cam names! haha.
I fully disagree with you. I'm not being biased because I am a Playboy model myself. If I thought Playboy made women to seem as only sex objects, I wouldn't have posed for them in the first place.caireen said:and while many areas of the sex industry really are only about the objectification of women (i think- but this is definitely debatable- a lot of mainstream porn and even- no offense to you megan- playboy and other picture-based sex work), camming, to me, is not centred around being objectified. while there is that level to it- 'show tits bb'- a lot of the money we make, and i imagine a large part of what makes it so enjoyable for us, is that we get to be seen as real human beings who are sexual, not sexual objects.
No, you didn't seem confrontational at all. And I did not take it personally at all. But I do feel that you are wrong. So I stated my case against it.caireen said:i suppose i should emphasize that i don't think women who feel they are objectified should feel ashamed either. i was objectified serving in a bar just as much as i am on mfc, but that job seems far more respectable to 'normal' society than sex work. all women who work in the sex industry regardless of what they do shouldn't be afraid to be open about it.
and megan, just to clarify, i wasn't in any way making a personal attack on you. that is how i tend to feel about mainstream 'mens magazines'. but i didn't mean any offense at all.. when i re-read it i thought it may have seemed a bit confrontationaly, so apologies.
but i do think that the images of women that are presented in playboy, regardless of the attachment of a bio, is pretty one-dimentional and tend to be not about celebrating womens sexuality, but about attracting a male audience.
You ignored 4 different other things that I mentioned that Playboy does to show the models as people.caireen said:regardless of the attachment of a bio

I guess I should have been more specific. Strict, comma, Christian. Most Christians are pretty lenient on the rules of the Bible, from my experiences. But when I said strict, I meant no pg-13 movies before being the age of 13, heavily monitored internet access, knowing what they are doing and where they are at, ect. I didn't mean to put them together as in strict Christian. But strict AND Christian.danavixen said:PlayboyMegan said:Not like they won't ever see me naked. I'm practically a nudist. I'm nude a lot. I'm a lapsed Catholic. I can tell you right now though, that if you plan on being a strict Christian household, the nudity thing is going to have to go. Pick and choose your parts of the bible and your children will be like me--questioning the validity of the entire book and the foundations of the theology itself. Now, that can be good or bad, but it's likely to happen.
My daughter is still young, but as she grows up, she's going to be exposed to the world. That means seeing San Francisco for what it is and knowing that people do all sorts of things for a living. I tell people who ask me in a "level up" system: modeling, performance art, pro-domme or camgirl, porn star. At any point if they seem to panic or get weird, I stop. It's like anything else--you just have to ease into it.
I don't think I'll go into telling her the porn side of things but I do plan on telling her about the webcamming if it comes up and the time is right. If not, then I just leave it at "modeling."
PlayboyMegan said:I've studied Christianity most of my life, but I do not claim to understand or know all of the Bible. However, I have never heard that it is sinful to walk around naked in front of your children, or get dressed in front of them. Is there a verse that says that? I am genuinely curious. Maybe you could give me some links.
"And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another" (I Corinthians 12: 23-25)
I didn't think so. Never even heard it mentioned in a class before.Shaun__ said:I do not think the Christan bible calls being naked a sin, but modesty is encouraged.

Thank you for the links. But did you read all the verses yourself? What I got from them (Only about 2-3 verses were relevant) was that you should be clothed so that others may not lust over you, be modest and cover things like your breasts in front of other men.danavixen said:PlayboyMegan said:I didn't think so.
